Here’s a film music-angled guest mixology for the great late Chambre Noire series. A sprawling and tentacled collaged focus on music and sound design for cinematic experiences. My concentration is on art films, 1970-80s horror (American, Euro as well as Asiatique), cult flicks, animation and documentaries. 

Although tracklist features some big-name film composers who ended up co-opted into Hollywood death-machine (Morricone, Howard Shore, Pino Donaggio, Badalamenti) I tried to focus on their odder early efforts instead.

Includes momentous creations by Popol Vuh, Third Ear Band, Sonic Youth, Toru Takemitsu, David Lynch, John Lurie, Haruomi Hosono, Fabio Frizzi, RZA, Riz Ortolani, Komeda, Coil, Messiaen, Simon Fisher Turner, Stereolab, Eduard Artemiev, Michael Nyman, Klaus Schulze, Brian Eno, Wendy Carlos, Tangerine Dream, our lady Meredith Monk and a bunch of other greats, both, directors and musicians. Wickend 107 - El Rubicón #19 - Crass / Kim Gordon / Miki Berenyi (19-12-24)

After spending my college summers working on jungle gyms for luxury men's accessories designers, I went onto more involved and detailed projects earning praise for developing frisbees in the government sector. Lastly, I spent my final year of grad school testing the market for Virgin Mary figurines in Seattle.

Fast forward through over a decade of playing drums and percussion in various NJ/NYC area bands/songwriters (The Davids, Sleep Station / New London Fire, Fortunato, Annie Quick, Sarah Lentz, Bearden Coleman & The Minor Addictions, Chuck Treece, The Midnight Hollow, and New Politicians), I'm finally releasing my own music that I've worked on over the years.

My previous project was Villain + Zavier with fellow NJ based producer/songwriter, Walter Dicristina (Emvy Music), where we did a remix for Crosses (Chino Moreno of Deftones & Shaun Lopez of Far) and worked on music for NYC Pop Gothic Songstress, Car Astor. We also managed to release a single entitled, You + I. Maybe we'll revisit that project again in the future. For now it's Vented Pillars. This also is home to my more "accessible" music under my Vatic Pillars moniker. Also, stay tuned for a single that I co-wrote and am featured on with UK Garage/House legend, Todd Edwards.
