I created this mix for the Opera Festival team: a dynamic gathering held in Milo (Sicily, IT) during the summer, showcasing bold and innovative artists. When Andrea approached me to collaborate, I was grateful beyond words. While the original plan was to showcase VERTICAL RING (an ASMR ambient meditation piece recently released on Spotify and YouTube), I decided to expand the scope by presenting a selection of my favorite, previously unheard studio works spanning ambient and microtonal explorations. This mix offers for the first time a unique glimpse into my interpretation of ambient music. I hope you enjoy it <3

Moroccan by birth and raised between Ibiza and The Netherlands, Affani has multi-cultural roots. 
Growing up in the 80s was essential to his musical background. This period not only shaped his taste but also allowed him to discover artists like Jean Michel Jarre. However, it was his encounter with House Music that truly brought out the musician inside of him. This pivotal moment occurred when he started listening to Frankie Knuckles, Armand Van Helden, Todd Terry, and other pioneers of House Music from the 90s.

Affani's journey into music production began with sequences, and his skills were honed with guidance from fellow Dutch producer Laidback Luke, who provided valuable production tips and consistent positive feedback.

Affani has a musical style ranging from the Deep Spirit of Deep House to the most powerful percussive and energetic peak-time club tracks. His sets are multi-faceted and characterised by the word GROOVE, creating an energy that leaves audiences always wanting more. His productions have been exhibited at major festivals like Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland, and Sonar, as well as at underground clubs including DC10, Pikes, and Macarena. Supported by techno titan Carl Cox and other notable artists such as Laurent Garnier, Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, and house master Roger Sanchez.

Affani has established a significant presence in the electronic music scene, He also runs the successful label LClub Music, which features both his own productions and those of other like-minded artists. Additionally, LClub Music releases a series of "Limited Vinyl Only," further solidifying Affani's dedication to high-quality, tangible music formats.

Ander Carrera, better known as Ander Race, is a Basque DJ and music producer currently based in Barcelona. 

Specializing in genres like House, Melodic House, and Afro House, Ander blends organic, melodic, and electronic sounds to create immersive and energetic sets. His performances stand out for their use of vocals and captivating rhythms. 

His passion for music began at an early age when he started playing the piano, giving him a strong foundation in music theory that he later brought into his DJ career. This background has allowed him to explore a wide range of styles, from Funk and Electro to Breaks, giving his performances a unique versatility. 

In recent years, Ander has been working on numerous original productions, which will be released soon, further solidifying his artistic vision. His music has gained support from notable artists such as Trikk, Yet More, Thimble, German Brigante, Alican, Meera, Djolee, Marvio, Argia, and Adrian Roman, among others.
