A simple experiment made with Sonic Pi. The bells are playing a scale based on a logarithmic and recursive application of the plastic ratio. The scale has the following values in cents:
222.143
348.675
642.
738.005
905.66
1200.
The different values for the pauses are also based on the plastic ratio.

Plastic Bells

Almost the same algorithm used to generate the previous audio, but with a different scale:

The special property of this scale is that the combination tones of all the intervals are notes already within the scale (ignoring differences of octave), and every note on the scale is the combination tone of some other interval. So basically the scale produces itself as a "combination scale".

I am composer (Live and Native Instruments, Sonic Pi,Super Collider, musician (all keyboards and vocals ), professor of music (schools of music and university) with a  level PhD in musicology. I am living in France, in Strasbourg at the boarder with Germany.
Searching now for new musical approaches. The "Ambient" way of thinking and feeling" music and sounds is very closed to my sensibility, that's why I am following this musical path with faith and joy....but open to all kind of music.
