Our guest for this episode of JSW Radio is Alex La Pierre. Alex is co-founding director, with his wife Rocío La Pierre, of the binational, Southern Arizona-based non-profit organization, Borderlandia. Borderlandia’s mission is to expand public understanding of the U.S.-Mexico borderlands through a diversity of activities, including, especially, educational tours in southern Arizona and in Sonora, Mexico. I ask Alex about this work and about his view of public history more broadly. We also discuss how perceptions of the borderlands region seem to become more distorted the farther away one gets, and how Borderlandia’s work aims to combat this distorting effect of distance and politics.

Cuenta la historia de Guillermo Cubillos navegando en el río Magdalena y se ha convertido en una tradicional cumbia que cantamos y bailamos con el corazón . Hoy La Sonora Gabriel Palacios interpreta esta hermosa canción con mucho cariño para los amantes de la cumbia y el bailar .

Lorenzo Di Donato, also known as Didonaz, is a 22-year-old DJ born in Chieti. He discovered his passion for music at the age of 12 when he entered a nightclub for an event and was struck by the console, particularly by how the DJ moved his hands on it. He started with birthday parties and at one of them he met the owner of a club who contacted him to play as a resident, and from there his career began.

In recent years, he has moved to the Abruzzo coast, playing in some nightclubs including Kalima, Megà, Bross, and Sub Solo. In the last year, he has undergone many changes, including a 3-month experience in Dubai where he played in some clubs such as Crazy Mask. He experienced a different environment from Italy that changed his vision in music, focusing on producing his own tracks and experimenting with various musical genres ranging from reggaeton to techno, and then realizing that his love is on tech house.

His style is inspired by DJs such as Marco Carola, Franky Rizardo and many others. He now plays at Cantieri Disco and is focusing on production to grow and become more well-known.

Yo estaba tratando de saber desesperadamente quién era en realidad. Pero no importa cuánto lo busque, no lo encontraré. No existe un verdadero "yo".

The Journal of the Southwest Radio Hour brings the voices of researchers, educators, activists and community members working to better understand the region’s past and envision possible new futures.

Alex Guestter é um nome citado há muito tempo, figura marcada na noite catarinense, sempre esteve envolvidos com projetos de festas e eventos. Há 12 anos convivendo neste meio, começou seu trabalho como Relações Públicas em casas noturnas da região. Em 2006 começou a se relacionar diretamente com eventos em parceria com grandes clubes, assim tornou-se ainda mais conhecido e passou a usar esse mérito a seu favor, trabalhou efetivamente no grupo de funcionário da Ivyx Club, até que em 2009 passou a integrar a UP Club como produtor artístico. Tal mérito lhe proporcionou passar ainda por casas como Space Blue e Levion Club. Criou uma Multiagência que leva seu nome pra realizar suas festas em várias outras casas noturnas. Isto impulsionou muito seu trabalho dando visibilidade nacional pelo nível de contratações realizadas, foram centenas de artistas conhecidos que abrilhantaram tais festas. Uma das marcas mais importantes e talvez um símbolo de conquista é que as maiores festas e record de público da história de Joinville nesse ramo levaram sua assinatura.nesse ramo levaram sua assinatura. 
A música foi um dos hobbys que puderam aflorar com o tempo, trabalhando muito na área conheceu grandes produtores e pode desenvolver por si mesmo um feeling apuradíssimo e muito sonoro. Fez apresentações nas principais casas noturnas do sul do país e anualmente é destaque da festa Liberty, que celebra a diversidade nas cidades gêmeas do iguaçu. 
Além desses trabalhos Alex Guestter apresenta um programa ao vivo de segunda a sexta na rádio Pop Brasil, além de ser colunista e fazer a cobertura dos principais festivais eletrônicos pelo portal GUESTTER.COM. Hoje é possível acompanhar alguns SET’s pelo canal do SOUNDCLOUD onde existem varias atualizações de remix e mashups com batidas super animadas. Figurou em listas do HOT 100 no MIXCLOUD com seu recente trabalho chamado "Guestter On Air" em um formato RadioShow americano e mais recentemente bateu a marca de 130 mil plays no Remix da faixa "Make Me".
