House music at its best! Let Dave Baker take you on a journey of discovery and aural pleasure as he brings you the hottest and freshest funky, deep and tech house releases every week.  

It’s a slightly different flavour this week compared to the previous episode (who wants a cookie cutter podcast!) but we still have some of the biggest artists and labels in house music with 15 tracks released in the past week or coming out in the week ahead. We kick off with a nice smooth Soul Avengerz remix of a soulful classic; we have Dutch producer GUZ setting the world alight once again with a familiar vocal that some of you may remember from the 90’s; we also have Mark Knight’s latest, Miss Dre showing off her combined talents, and we round off with a superb melodic remix of Everything But The Girl’s Missing. Roberto Albini was born on febraury 26, 1969 in Charleroi (Belgium) and moved to Rome at the age of 2. He started his 

artistic career in 1985 at the age of 15, collaborating with some radio stations and several night clubs in Rome’s 

“castelli” area. He was resident at the disco "Le Griffe" with his colleague Daniele Piredda until 1989. It's in this period 

that the musical phenomenon called "House" reached Italy, and Roberto immediately took it into consideration, 

proposing it during his evenings which, in the meantime, were growing in popularity also thanks to the introduction of 

Techno, therefore, rave parties in the early 90’s. In Rome, mainly Techno and Underground were played, and at parties, 

there were duels (in a friendly fashion) between the dj's playing Techno (thunders) against those playing Underground 

(clouds) Roberto joined the "nuvolari", in what would be one of the best periods in his career. After that phase, and 

presently, the sounds he plays for us are: House, Garage, Deep, Soulful and Electro House. Some locations where 

Roberto Albini dj’d are: Le Griffe, Penny Club, Deliria, Palasport Genzano, Titanic Disco Club, Disco Slow, La Movida 

Club, Club 2000, Sea Garden, Teatro Vittoria, 747 Disco, Bloom Disco, Disco Blu S.P.Q.R. and more. In 1987, he 

participated in the competition "Rapper of the year" held by Radio Dimensione Suono Network and led by Faber 

Cucchetti. Radio experience: As already mentioned, Roberto Albini leads a dual role, (evenings) and his activity as a 

radio speaker. He participated in a variety of projects: from 1985 to 1987, he collaborated with Radio Effetto Musica, 

from 1987 to 1990 with RCV Radio. In 1992, he returned to Radio Effetto Musica, and from there, to a program called 

"Effetto Dance", which in 1994 was transformed into a Television format. In 1996 he returned to RCV Radio for another 

year and in 1997, finally found his true dimension approaching Radio Canale Zero, where still presents his programming. 

Some of his most popular programs are: Rave Fever (1991) Underground Movement (1992) Effetto Dance (1993) Effetto 

Dance Television (1994), House Club (1997), Mix In Action (1997-98). Roberto also joined the project "Mix fm" with his dj 

set led by Faber Cucchetti. In february 2008, he started his recording journey with "Doctor Music Rec., with the launching 

of the singles, "Free Spirit" and "Northern Wind", founded with Daniele Piredda. In september 2008 (again with Daniele 

Piredda), he began collaborating with artists for the creation and production of remixes. Among the artists: Serenity 

Plays (london) and Poni (london). In february 2009, he returned to hosting "Mix In Action" assisted by new artists, such as 

Nito Dj and Souldynimic. The sounds of this new edition of the program are definitely House and Soulful. "Mix In Action" 

is on every friday at 9 p.m. 
In 2009 he started a collaboration with Sara Muratore, starring events around Italy and various record productions. In 

2013, start collaborations with artists all over the world, such as, Meisha Moore, Chris Winter, Meechie (Chicago - USA), Anthony Poteat (New York - USA), Charles Cooper (Baltimore - USA), Tisetso Ntsheno (Durban - South Africa) Botshelo Moate (South Africa)and other.

DJ Gee Cee (Gavin Connor) Born January 1979 found love for music and mixing at a very young age, He was influenced Musically by DJ’s Todd Edwards, Kevin Yost, Kerri Chandler, Louie Vega, Frankie Knuckles, and more. DJ Gee Cee was a vinyl specialist and launched himself into a party career four years later. At Age 17 he had his first residency, Since then he has kept the crowds bouncing at a multitude of venues all over the country including London, Oxford, Kent, Swindon, Reading, Bristol and recently also the sunny Portuguese shores of Algarve. He has contributed to events such as various radio stations such as Reaction Radio London, Conscious Radio London, Green Apple Radio Slough.

The duo is well-known as welcoming persons who have lots of energy which is super contagious to every party that they’ve ever been played. Get ready for the groove! They started releasing music together end of 2019. Since then they worked togehter with great labels such as In It Togehter, King Street, Walk Of Shame, Hive, Monoside, Mango Sounds, Funky Revival and many more.
Point85 and Maex, the combination between German perfection and Italian passion is working over 15 years and before Bali they played already shows in Germany, Austria, Spain, Croatia and the Philippines. Currently Maex and Point85 playing shows in Bali.

"Ear candy" describes his choice in music selections.Creating a festive atmosphere throughout his set. Diego’s eclectic soundtrack spans the eras from 70’s soul r&b jazz funk classics, 80’s dance oriented rock, 90’s soulful house to today’s organic afrocentric tunes.

An accomplished DJ for more than two decades who nurtured and honed his craft. He has debuted throughout South Beach's prominent nightclubs, playing at notable venues Crobar, and Nikki Beach. 

Diego’s got a presence and image by his polished mix shows hosted on popular social media sites Mixcloud.com and syndicated on 'Revolution 935 FM’ an iHeart radio affiliate station in Miami, FL.

Other interesting highlights include playing for major sponsors and brands like ‘Bacardi’, ‘Guess Jeans’, 'Tommy Hilfiger' and ‘Disney’. As well as having the honor and privilege to DJ for artists 'Pink', 'Janet Jackson' and 'Jennifer Lopez' He entertains and educates his audience. He's smooth on mix transitions, even on the most intricate blends, a drive that pulsates, keeping the momentum in the music going. 

Diego’s mentor is Tony Humphries, which fueled his desire as a DJ. "I can remember listening to Tony as he rocked the airwaves on New York's WRKS 98.7 KISS FM during the early morning hours of the night, playing the latest in cutting edge house music."

Additionally, early on as a patron at the Shelter, Underground Network, Body & Soul, & Dance Ritual parties, Diego embraced his experiences at these pivotal events.
