I’m fascinated with the concept of minimising the equipment available to perform and create. To that end, for this show I have used the IOS App, DJAY Pro 2 to perform the mix in one session straight to digital tape.
I've not listened back to the mix before uploading it so there maybe errors and impurities to sound, transitions and timing.

This was my entry for SKIO MUSIC's 'Sound of Shadows' Matoma & JP Cooper Remix Contest. 

The vocoder and main Vox really appealed to me. 
Something just kinda said 'Soul' to me on this one, and I gated the main Vox to get something close to a dry version and more intimate. 
The track has a heavy break beat with keys and pads surrounding the vocals. A definite Moby from the 90s vibe.

The first single "Save Yourself" is the perfect representation of everything FÄM stands for. The song describes the feeling you experience (as a woman) when walking down the streets by yourself. That uncomfortable, annoying, unsafe feeling. The song wants to call upon, those who have ever felt unsafe on the streets before, to put a stop to this phenomenon.
