Syndesmosis

Today (June 30, 2022) marks eleven years since I began writing my own music under the name Blue Navy. To celebrate, I am releasing a new(ish) ambient piece entitled "The Past Dictates the Future". 

This composition was originally worked on during the recording sessions of "The Silent Diaries". However, this song was abandoned. Four years later, I rediscovered the original synth track, and was so moved that I knew I had to finish the song.

For the foreseeable future, this will more than likely be the last piece of music I will release as Blue Navy. Thanks to everyone who has listened to and supported my under the name. And don't worry - I'm not done with music. More stuff will be coming your way... hopefully soon. Take care.

Thank you for visiting my Soundcloud website. The music you are listening to is created in the moment with no advance composition. Sometimes, as with the COSMOS V album, I'll watch stellar videos on one screen with my music production software open on the other screen, and just start recording what I feel and what inspires me. I don't work with sheet music, but rather play by feel and visual inspirations.

My focus with the music is in creating music that helps people to let go of all the business from the day with everything that is happening out there, to relax and bring about a sense of inner peace. I started with piano at age nine, inspired by film scores while living in Europe for those two years. It's no surprise people have said there is a bit of a cinematic feel to the music I create.

In the 2000's I worked as a wildland firefighter supervising crews on fires in Colorado and eventually earned enough to put together my first home music studio. I performed in a number of venues in Boulder while there, having the opportunity to meet many beautiful people along the way. My current project, COSMOS V, is nearing completion. Again, thanks for having a listen!

About love:  It is utter nonsense to leave the generalization that if you give love you get love in return. It is simply NOT true.. When I look at abused children who have been entrapped within the confines of circumstances, all the love in the world doesn't STOP the abuser from seeing things in a perspective that will harness his faults he fails to identify. 

Some experiments may fail, but if we never tried, then we would not be moved to join on a path of something better...Why should there be shame? Experience can bring evolutionary changes. (Food for thought:)

FYI: I have to admit I am not trying to find a particular genre niche in my musical endeavors...I'm just wanting to enjoy the expedition of the musical wheels! ;)

Intro:) I am an artist of varying fields... who doesn't feel like I can be crammed into one genre, I create where I feel the spirit of the moment takes me.../' I've done choir performances, even had an experience with TV group performance. Been on radio, different stations--won an award out of Chicago...Won group trophy for best in regional singing...Was asked to be a select member of 8 singers called "The Pantherettes" as a Freshman.
