Our friend from the coast Ed Mahon makes a triumphant return to Sprechen with an absolute stunning selection of his fave tracks from over the years which he has lovingly recreated, re-tweaked and firmly slapped his own unique stamp upon them. With help from his close creative friends Louise Spiteri & Snem K, Ed delivers 3 stunning selections which cover spaced out cosmic balearic bizz and pumping EBM sweaty workouts.

Voice Of Africa's Hoomba Hoomba gets a piano dubbed out rework with the sun beam factor cranked up to 500. A chugging broken beat and subtle use of a vocal sample with the piano high in the mix makes this perfect for a poolside playlist (as the mix names suggest) or for a very special end of night/big hugs type of scenario.

What You Deserve features the vocal talents of French based singer Snem K who tackles this slamming rework of a little know number from the very early 80's. Industrial style action with a vocal reminiscent of DAF and other associated metal dance maestros. Sweaty basements ahoy!

Last up is a cover of the early 80's New Jack Swing/late electro banger Temptation originally by Corina. Totally stripped back and built around pads & piano played by Ed with Louise Spiteri taking over vocal duties. This is absolute lush which will guarantee some smiles as bright as the sunshine it should be played under. Big Croatian festival tackle!

John Braine is an Irish DJ and producer who’s been part of the UK and Irish underground electronic scene since the ’90s. Recently, he’s been recording, performing, and creating visual art under the name Trontsephore. His music has appeared on labels such as Headspace, Emoticon, Scart, Psychonavigation, and Front End Synthetics.
His track Shmegly received amazing feedback from Andrew Weatherall on its release, and Carl Cox played the Funk D’Void remix of Trontsephora to hundreds of thousands of ravers at the 1998 Love Parade.
John has a broad range of musical tastes, with a particular love for deep, dubby, and trippy sounds that sit somewhere between electro, breaks, and electronica — whether it’s peak dancefloor vibes or slower, immersive headfeed for an open-minded Sunday morning radio show.
He is also one-third of @Pint Window Productions, the crew that brings ALFOS to Dublin every year, among other events.

Recording in the middle of a heatwave brough the most Balearic side out of me, I think. Very lovely opening with a few new things featuring, then some pop and Balearic classics, some dub, a nice floaty bangers section featuring a load of Italo bits. Turned out nice again!
