The Haratolli, a Pioneer-class Surveyor Ship, is a Commonwealth vessel tasked with exploring the uncharted "West-Point Unexplored Region" beyond the Commonwealth's borders. Equipped with powerful sensors and a cataloguing database, the ship's primary mission is to survey planets and establish a series of "Signal Array Stations" in high activity areas. These stations serve as a means of instantaneous communication, including the Galactanet, the galaxy's version of the internet. The Haratolli is also outfitted with two powerful drives, including the latest Slingshot drive, which enables it to travel faster than the speed of light by creating a wormhole using the gravity fields of nearby objects.

The crew of the Haratolli is led by Captain Novigo Vazda, who hails from Canavirellia/New Virellia, the Virelli's first interstellar colony. Novigo's curiosity about the worlds above led him to join the Commonwealth's Surveyor Fleet Academy and eventually become the captain of his own ship. He is a cautious leader who prefers to use probes and scanners to survey planets but will join his crew on missions when necessary.

Vice Captain Morgenshe is a Turai from the Commonwealth's Allied Star nation of The Republic of Turai. He is an adventurous person who spent half his life in the Commonwealth's capital of Virellia and shares Novigo's passion for exploring the unknown. Unlike his superior, Morgenshe is far more daring and often charges ahead when a path must be chosen during a mission.

The ship's android, Has'sa, is one of the most advanced models that the Commonwealth's AI Manufactory can create. He has developed a somewhat stubborn and opinionated personality, and he prefers to be called by his chosen name rather than his serial number. Despite his quirks, Has'sa is an invaluable member of the crew.

Lieutenant Commander Soriessoh A'taeromanne is the Suris who leads the ship's defense. He was born on the planet Naremeris but fled with his family to the Commonwealth and the Suris's Star State of Tyrammean Suris Directorate ten years before the Grand State invaded and destroyed their home planet 22 years ago. Soriessoh joined the Commonwealth Surveyor Defense Force (CSDF) in response to the invasion, and he was assigned to the Haratolli by the CSDF's order. As the leader of the ship's defense, Soriessoh is responsible for protecting the crew from any threats they may encounter during their explorations. He is known for his cold and calculated tactician skills, but he also has compassion and empathy towards his crewmates. He prioritizes their safety and well-being, often working alongside them to maintain the ship's systems.

Together, the crew of the Haratolli embarks on a mission to explore and catalog the uncharted regions beyond the Commonwealth's borders. Their journey will be fraught with danger and challenges, but their unwavering determination and strong bond as a team will help them navigate through the unknown.
