Building 600 would like you to believe they are from the year 2139 and were accidentally stranded here due to a quirk in the fabric of time and space. In actuality we are two good friends who have been making quirky music together since the early 2000's. We aren't professional musicians and do this for the fun of making music. If some of you happen to like our music, that's great, but we're mostly doing it for our own entertainment. We're excited that after a 15 year hiatus we're back with our new album, Echoes Of Andromeda.

1810 Sound is the netlabel for the nebulous and low-energy music collective which billed itself as the Upper Valley Psychedelic Continuüm. 

Conveniently, it is also the name given to the mobile sound recording technology used by the bands and individual artists that make up the Continuüm. 

It was founded in 1997 as an imprint of the NYC indie label Quixotic Records by the seven members of “Together Market”. They were the band that left Manhattan and relocated to the Upper Valley after the dissolution of all things Quixotic.

Upon their arrival in the rural uplands the band discovered a vibrant local musical culture (obviously they were not the first to flee the city); they set up their instruments and makeshift recording gear in various old farmhouses and started making records. Eventually Together Market split up, but new bands were formed and found their way to the living room studio (or the studio sometimes would find them). Then those bands would in turn break up, and the pattern continued. 

The result of the last 24 years is a seemingly endless bounty of experimental music and sound recordings from nearly a dozen artists. We carefully select a precious few from the vault for public presentation, given as freely as possible depending upon the ever-changing nature of technology and the internet.  Why do we do this?  A very good question.
