Victoria Martinez is a transdisciplinary artist and educator from Chicago who explores installation art, textiles, site-specific intervention, screen printing, and painting. She believes in chance and intuition creating projects for galleries and ephemeral experiences within the urban environment. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally including the National Museum of Mexican Art, Arquetopia Foundation for Development, The Chicago Cultural Center, The University of Chicago Arts Incubator, The University of Minnesota, and Northwestern University.

Adeola Enigbokan is an artist and urbanist. She conducts research on how art and design can impact urban public life with architects, designers, educators, and other social researchers in neighborhoods of Amsterdam, New York, Tel Aviv, Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Beijing and Mexico City. She teaches urban sociology at the University of Amsterdam.

Alexis Salas is an art historian of global contemporary art. Salas's first book analyzes artists' 'zines, experimental films, and contextual art installations in relation to changes in the metropolis' economic and political structure. Currently Visiting Assistant Professor at Hampshire College, Salas has taught in Mexico and the United States and curates exhibitions of Latino and Latin American Art.

Juarez Hawkins is an artist, educator and curator. She received her B.A. from Northwestern University and a M.A. in Interdisciplinary Arts from Columbia College Chicago. Juarez has exhibited widely, hosting solo exhibitions at Concordia University, the 33 Collective Gallery, and the South Side Community Art Center. She is a member of Sapphire and Crystals, a collective of African American female artists. Juarez serves as Lecturer and Curator of Gallery Programs at Chicago State University.

Legacies: Juarez Hawkins

Damon Locks presents on working in past, present, and future tense.

Damon Locks is a Chicago based visual artist, educator, vocalist/musician. He attended The Art Institute in Chicago where he received his BFA in Fine Arts. Recently, he has been lending his artistic and/or teaching talents to organizations such as Prisons and Neighborhood Arts Projects, Art Reach, and at UIC. He is a recent recipient of the Helen Coburn Meier and Tim Meier Achievement Award in the Arts and the 2016 MAKER Grant.

Andres L. Hernandez is an artist, designer, and educator who works with youth and adults to interpret, critique, and reimagine their physical, social, and cultural environments. He is co-founder of Revival Arts Collective, and founder and director of the Urban Vacancy Research Institute. Hernandez earned a B.Arch from Cornell University and a M.A. in Art Education from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he is Associate Professor in the Department of Art Education.
