The leak of the explicit video, which stunned her devoted fan base, occurred last Saturday, sparking intense discussions across various social media platforms.

This video captured the award-winning actress, who previously received the “Revelation of the Year” accolade at the Best of Nollywood Awards in 2012, engaged in an intimate act with an unidentified man, all while being recorded without her consent.

Taking control of the narrative on Sunday, Moyo Lawal took to her official Instagram page to release a statement addressing the situation. In her statement, she revealed the identity of the individual responsible for disseminating the video, asserting that it was done without her knowledge or consent. She expressed her distress, stating, “A private video of mine from a while ago has been inappropriately shared without my consent, violating my privacy and trust.”

Lawal went on to emphasize that the video was originally intended for her and her ex-partner’s private consumption and was never meant for public viewing.

She firmly stated her intention to pursue legal action against those responsible for this breach of her privacy, declaring, “However, this criminal breach of privacy will be treated with legal action.”
This incident has been particularly distressing for the actress, given her efforts to maintain a discreet approach to her personal life.

She revealed that she had even embraced celibacy for a period, eschewing frequent dating and choosing solitude.
Nonetheless, Moyo Lawal remains resolute in her determination not to allow this unfortunate incident to shatter her spirit.

She expressed her gratitude to those who extended their support and understanding during this challenging time, acknowledging that their kindness and goodwill have been invaluable to her.
In a twist to the story, a prior video of the actress surfaced on an X platform (formerly Twitter) in which she confidently asserted that she could not be dragged into any online controversies related to sexual matters.

She emphasised her history of making sacrifices and maintaining a discreet image. She said, “People know how I am regarding sex matters, so the last thing one could use to drag me down is sex.”
Complicating matters further, an X account claiming to belong to Moyo Lawal, @moyolawalofficial, posted a denial of the leaked video, insisting it wasn’t her in the clip and urging people to stop spreading fake news.

However, subsequent investigations revealed that this account was, in fact, a parody account. The official X account of the Nollywood actress is believed to be @moyolawal.

Moyo Lawal’s journey in the world of acting began with small-scale productions and the encouragement of a friend. Despite an unsuccessful stint on the Next Movie Star Nigerian TV reality show, she made her professional acting debut in the TV series “Shallow Waters,” where she portrayed the character Chioma. Her breakthrough came with her role as Chinny in the award-winning TV series “Tinsel,” catapulting her into the limelight.

Biography:

I got into DJing through my interest in techno music initially in the early 90s when techno was becoming more and more established in the clubs! At that time especially at private parties with and 
at friends, my great interest and enthusiasm for DJing arose through the confrontation between turntable and mixer that arose here and there and thus also my interest in producing music or DJing.
I try to modernize and reflect the dark bunker sound of today's popular club sounds. The techno direction I produce is a bassfull and at the same time driving techno sound with interesting dark melodies and sounds and
underlaid with suitable effect sounds. My selection of songs that I use for my podcasts are techno songs that I have listened to, made a selection 
and what I like about it in terms of taste, of course based on the common and hip club beats and sounds. After a long break, the goal is to reestablish myself in the scene with good sets and sounds. The aim would also be to have contacts 
and opportunities again through our own increasing polarity in order to
perhaps support and further help and promote younger talents more easily, but I will never really stop mixing or producing music myself, only the
performances will improve over the years will definitely be less. 
But definitely not now!!!!!!....... hopefully there will be many more musicthings and joint projects with other colleagues, which I'm really looking forward too! Thank you very much for listening and to be honest I'm just overwhelmed by how many really like my music and recommend me to others!
