A tantalising tease of an ANIMISM live opener. Originally crafted around 2003, as the epic opening song of forthcoming film, The Dogs Live On (2030), The Snowmen Rise has since been dusted off. Its ambient atmosphere progresses to medieval lute, before drums punch in, and jungle/breaks ensue.

The story behind the music:
Devastated by the loss of his beloved, the Scientist, working on creating a brain-computer interface, desperately longs to return to those moments of happiness that defined their love. In an attempt to revive his memories and rekindle the feelings buried deep within his soul, he embarked on the creation of a system that would enable him to travel through time within his own mind, exploring those fleeting fragments of happiness.
After a successful initial attempt, however, a system overload occurred, causing a glitch that eluded his attention. In his subsequent endeavor, instead of immersing himself in blissful memories, the Scientist found himself in the dark labyrinth of his worst nightmares, lurking in the deepest recesses of his subconscious. He ended up as a shadow of a deranged soul, tormented by phantoms and obsessive fears, imprisoned within the macabre dreams he had inadvertently crafted.

This is a backing track for my open mic set. There is a guitar solo that goes on top of this. 2 tonal variations are possible - one crunchy with touch dynamics and another full on shred with saturated distortion. It's going to take me a while to harmonize the keyboard arpeggios with the guitar part.
