Evangelio según san Marcos 12,38-44

Y él les enseñaba: "Cuídense de los escribas, a quienes les gusta pasearse con largas vestiduras, ser saludados en las plazas
y ocupar los primeros asientos en las sinagogas y los banquetes;
que devoran los bienes de las viudas y fingen hacer largas oraciones. Estos serán juzgados con más severidad".
Jesús se sentó frente a la sala del tesoro del Templo y miraba cómo la gente depositaba su limosna. Muchos ricos daban en abundancia.
Llegó una viuda de condición humilde y colocó dos pequeñas monedas de cobre.
Entonces él llamó a sus discípulos y les dijo: "Les aseguro que esta pobre viuda ha puesto más que cualquiera de los otros,
porque todos han dado de lo que les sobraba, pero ella, de su indigencia, dio todo lo que poseía, todo lo que tenía para vivir".

Amar a Cristo con su Cuerpo

Si  quieres amar a Cristo, extiende tu caridad al mundo entero, porque los miembros de Cristo se extienden en todo el mundo. 

Si sólo amas una parte, te separas. Si te separas, no estás en el Cuerpo y si no estás en el Cuerpo, no estás bajo la Cabeza.

¿Dices creer y al mismo tiempo blasfemas? Adoras a Cristo en la Cabeza pero lo blasfemas en su Cuerpo. Él ama a su Cuerpo. 

La Cabeza te grita desde el cielo que es en vano que la honores. Es como si alguien quisiera besarte en el rostro y te aplastara los pies. 

Alguien con sus duros zapatos te lastima los pies al querer tomar tu cabeza para besarla. Interrumpirías su demostración de respeto gritando “¡Qué haces hombre, me lastimas!”.

De este modo, nuestro Señor Jesucristo, antes de subir al cielo, nos ha recomendado a su Cuerpo, por el que él iba a permanecer sobre la tierra. 

Veía que muchos lo honoraban en su gloria, pero que eran vanos esos honores si despreciaban a sus miembros sobre la tierra.
