The Lion Becomes the King of Beasts

we walked slow—through marshes thick
& slippery—mud kissed our feet (the trees,
so tall (the forest old, the lion smiled
"this place is home") soft moss whispered
beneath paws of gold)

We walked through the marsh, the ground so thick,
Trudging slow through the mud, we felt each slick.
The trees loomed large, the forest old,
But the Lion saw beauty, heart so bold.

in this wild, i grow.

I'm the King, but not for show,
In the wild, it's where I grow.
These beasts, they called, I heard their cry,
I’ll fight the monster, I won’t deny.

they gathered (beasts)—eyes wide with fear:
tigers, elephants, wolves (whispers near)
a spider (legs long like trees)—
but no roar, no pride, just quiet: “I’ll go.”
the lion, alone, prowls (silent)

Through the darkness, we took our rest,
The night was still, but hearts oppressed.
Morning broke with a beastly roar,
Tigers, elephants, lions no more.

These beasts, they called, I heard their cry,
I’ll fight the monster, I won’t deny.

found it—(sleeping, still)
ugly, hairy (legs like oak branches)
one blow, (swift and clean)
and the spider’s dream
is done.

They told of a spider, big as an oak,
Legs long and thick, it drags and chokes.
A monster fierce, it brought them fear,
But the Lion stood tall, “I’m here, I’m near.”

I’ll strike down this beast, let the battle begin,
With strength and heart, I’ll surely win.

the forest bows (breaths release)
the lion is crowned in peace.

I found the spider fast asleep,
Ugly and fierce, its death would be deep.
One swift strike, its head fell down,
The forest would soon wear a peaceful crown.

The beasts now bow, I’ve won the fight,
The forest is safe under my might

until a voice—sharp as stones—screamed, "keepout!"

a strange head with no arms

just neck long like time,

Haunted: A Thaimurius origin story

This song is a personal introspection of body transformation from many hours exercise and hard work, no GLP-1s.  The hatred felt by the morbidly obese was intense.  This hatred turned into motivation to give them the finger and enjoying life.  I hope that you enjoy it.
