Stacey Pullen - Sweat (Javi Xavier Remix) ***Free Download***

This year I'm kicking off a new mix series to celebrate the first 25 years of this century: 21st Century Music! Each mix will contain only music from this century. To kick things off, here's a mix of proper techno music from the beginning of the century. This is very personal for me, as this is a point at which I was really engaged with techno - listening to it, dancing to it, thinking about it, and playing it. This is the point when I was a student at Edinburgh University, and I was visiting the (sadly no longer with us) Studio 24 on Calton Road practically every weekend with friends to enjoy techno clubs like Dogma, Pillbox, Apex, Subtle Logic, and more. 

This was a time when techno was really fun and interesting, the time of 'hard grooves', of funky techno, of high impact, danceable music, before the walls of minimal closed in and techno got really, really boring for a while. There's been a revival of this style in recent years (see my Stranger tribute mix, for instance), which is not surprising, because this style of techno is just so much more fun than minimal.

The Company Soundsystem emerged from Brooklyn's underground house scene and has made a name for himself with incendiary live sets and genre-crossing original tracks on labels King Street (NYC), Nite Grooves (NYC), LTHM (SF) and 3 Bridge Records (NYC).

Javi Xavier is a DJ / Producer based out of Dallas TX, but originally from Los Angeles. Javi's passion for House Music steams back to the early 90's. Since becoming a DJ / Producer Javi Xavier has put in the time to learn the kraft by quickly learning and staying a head of the curve in this exploding market of talent.  His style of DJing is a unique House style in which he blends Techno and Progressive Sounds into his sets. His creativity and passion has led him to creating his own imprint in Dual Life Records which helps talented artists have a platform to grow, develop and gain exposure in the dance and music community.

Deckster discovered Dance Music very early, attracted to the nearby situated famous Dutch nightclubs like "Waakzaamheid", IT Amsterdam and Roxy.  He is addicted to music and plays several instruments, but never started playing the decks until mid 2020. His broad taste in music and search for out-of-ordinary tracks give him a unique sound and vibe.

He is in the game for the fun and joy of sharing music and vibe.  As music is tightly bond to atmosphere, place and time, the music varies from the most relaxed and chill sounds to some solid techno beats! 
His heart goes out to organic and downtempo progressive tunes, with a solid base in Bass, Drums and Percussion. Hypnotic and binding tunes with an ever existing positive vibe.
