Presenting the first State Alchemy Music release of 2025 - Stroke the Furry Bassline compiled by A Geoffrey A colossal 11-track VA featuring a fine blend of the various subgenres found in Psytrance. Ranging from 138-155 bpm, there is something for everyone in this compilation! Geoffrey is a well-renowned name and figure in the local South African psytrance scene. He is co-founder of Funky Fish festival in KZN and his DJ Project has seen great success over the years performing at some of SAs largest Psytrance festivals across the country. Stroke the Furry Bassline is his first compilation ever, and he cut no corners in hand-picking a phenomenal track list of incredibly talented producers across the globe.

Parabolic Flow is the solo act of Matt Scrimgour (Known for his work as half of Ebb & Flow) 


Having started his journey with a major love of Night time psychedelic and Forest Matt began his journey into DJing pushing and testing the Cape Town waters with obscure and arb psychedelic after some time he slowly began to find a love for the slower bpm music which encapsulated the same psychedelic approach with Labels such as Our Minds, Padang, Katayy, Pistolero & Occulta he began to experiment and find his groove within the slower styles of Psy-tech ,Dark Prog & Forest prog while keeping to his roots in terms of soundscapes and energy.

S.A.M | State Alchemy Music

A Psychedelic Trance Record Label that was launched in 2023 through an undying love and passion for psychedelic music and culture. The State Alchemy Project was created by Alexandros with the intention to throw High Scale Psytrance events throughout Cape Town. After 4 years, the idea evolved and shaped, discussions were had between some integral members of the South African psytrance scene, thus leading to the creation of S.A.M.

Meet Anthony Lee, a 24-year-old visionary behind the night psy project called Blether. Back in
2018, he dove headfirst into the captivating world of Cape Town's psychedelic culture, and it
didn't take long for him to become enamored with it. Fuelled by his love for the scene, Anthony
decided to channel his passion into the studio, where he could bring his musical ideas to life.
As time went on, Anthony found himself increasingly drawn to the allure of the night time sound.
Unlike its daytime counterpart, the night psy genre offered him a sense of liberation and
boundless expression. It was within these dark, nocturnal soundscapes that he discovered a
creative sanctuary, free from the constraints of traditional musical structures.
When you listen to Blether's music, you'll notice a distinctive focus on the glitchy and digital
aspects of classic night psy. Anthony's sound design is meticulous, crafting intricate and
stimulating sonic experiences that captivate listeners. His tracks are fueled by an abundance of
energy, driven by mind-bending basslines that dance and twist with a touch of lunacy. As the
layers of sound intertwine, chaos and order collide, creating a sonorous journey that pushes the
boundaries of imagination.
In the studio, Anthony immerses himself in the process of curating mind-altering soundscapes,
where every note and every beat is carefully crafted to transport his audience to otherworldly
realms. By skillfully combining elements of glitch, digital textures, and the essence of classic
night psy, Blether's music becomes a conduit for both introspection and collective
transcendence.
