Charanjit Singh's 1982 recording placed Raga Bhairav into early electronic music, using the Roland TB-303 and drum machines in a way often considered proto-acid house. Glass Beams later reinterpreted it through a modern psychedelic lens, while Kalbaisakhi's rework shifts it into dubstep and steppas territory — deep subs, steppas drum patterns and spacious dub processing — reshaping the raga for today's club systems.

Untitled Dub Family is a newly emerging sound system based in Prague. It is a group of contemporary artists, designers, musicians and sound engineers from different cities and countries, who were brought together by the desire to build their own sound system and new young community in Czech Republic around it.

They study and respect roots and culture, but each of them is focused on different branches of dub and reggae music, from experimental bass sound with dub background, through roots music of the last century to heavy steppas, so their selection can play from morning to morning. Their new speakers are already done and others are on the way!

I am also a dj called "Dj Chronic". I used to play Jungle, Drum and Bass, Dubstep, eclectic, dub, funk, soul, reggae, Hip Hop, jazz, underground disco, Happy Hardcore, breakcore, ambient and rave, ....techno.

I now perform in a play as soundengineer/dj.

I have some real authentic sound.

Bassism was originally founded by Tommy Lexxus in 2005 as a warehouse rave in San Francisco. Fast forward 20 years, and we find the Bassism crew stationed comfortably in Berlin with label nights at the respected Club Gretchen.

One of our goals at Bassism is to help make the world feel a little closer, bridging the gap between DJs + producers in far off lands. We brought out some of our favorite international artists to mix with Germany’s cream of the crop. We are ever thankful for the artists we've been lucky enough to host.

Flashback to 2008, Bassism started by putting out early classics from the beginning of the Dubstep era. San Francisco being a hub for Bass Music in general, Bassism had prime real estate to pick from the best upcoming artists in the Bay Area. Vinyl production was being handled by Cargo UK before they disbanded, and then Triple Vision took over distribution in the Netherlands. Bassism went on to anchor in serious acts such as Dubsworth, Roommate, Antiserum, SPL, FSTZ & UFO!

When Dubstep took off, so did Bassism's release success on top of Tommy's touring calendar. Having rocked almost every US + European capital, plus tons of party-ready cities in between, Mr. Lexxus has also been blessed with appearances in Tijuana, Dubai, Bahrain, Shanghai, Melbourne, and most recently in Koh Tao, Thailand. 

From the beaches of California to the subways of New York, Tommy brought Bassism into the limelight (literally) when he got to open for Skream and Joe Nice at the legendary Avalon Club (the old Limelight) in Manhattan. Other highlights include playing atop Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas at the Foundation Room for Dub Church, Narnia in the Los Angeles Mountains, Outlook Festival in Croatia, A Bass Odyssey in Berlin, and massive raves such as Nocturnal Wonderland, House of Dreams and Opium. ‘It doesn’t stop there’.
