This was the first version of this song. This carries a more raw, unfiltered meaning to it. GO$A's choice to release this version on Soundcloud was made in retrospect, after feeling that part of life had passed and will forever remain in history and his story.

GO$A: "I originally sang this out in one take, only the chorus/hook being looped because I started losing my voice singing it with such emotion. The WHYCAN'TYOUWAIT on for-profit streaming platforms is directed at the feelings that a girl had me feeling, and focuses on almost only that, whereas this older version maintains my original ideas when I had freestyle sang this out in my car in 20 or so minutes; I have a girl I have to leave alone, I'm not sure what's going on but I just keep losing (people, including this important person to me). I feel that I'm losing myself, my innocence, my optimism about the world. I feel that it's hard to move along emotionally from anything and everything as I'm being battered and bludgeoned from every direction. I ask and beg "WHY CAN'T YOU WAIT?!" to God, to this girl, to the Devil hitting me with trial after trial ceaselessly before I felt ready, as if I were Job from the Bible. I stress that I keep losing that year and that the girl wasn't the first or last, but felt like the worst loss in the moment. I say I lost my way, I hadn't seen my mother smile in some time due to VERY dire circumstances. I ask out to the girl I lost to hear my thoughts & questions; 'What do I do when my father cries because my mother is dying? What do I do when she actually dies? Will you be there for me at all?' I end off saying I'm losing and that I'm at a point where if she hates me but remains present I'll just take what I can get even though it'll hurt me to see her disdain."

GO$A, continued: "The father cry/mother die line was really powerful for me, it's what I was really feeling at the time. I actually hurt my voice pretty bad singing at that point when I said it. I didn't want to admit defeat or put that type of pessimism out though. Accepting that I'm a loser I can do, but to give up hope and say 'my mom WILL die from this' and think it's set in stone... nah, it's not over til it's over. I changed up these things cuz I wanted the story to be a little more congruous, more focusing on the girl and her impact on my life in that moment rather than just everything in a song. I would absolutely do that... just not on this song."
