Jersey Club producer DJ Sliink has teamed up with Skrillex and Wale for his new song “Saint Laurent” (out via Skrillex’s OWSLA label). According to a press release, Sliink’s production reminded Wale of D.C. Gogo, making him want to lend his vocals. Listen below. Recently, Skrillex shared a new song called “Would You Ever” featuring Justin Bieber-collaborator Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd, which debuted with a visual starring a hairy Australian on a skateboard. He also released a song with Habstrakt earlier this year called “Chicken Soup,” which appeared on the label comp HOWSLA. Wale shared his latest LP Shine in May.

He took the reigns as Jersey Club’s first global star, spreading the genre from humble beginnings in Newark’s DIY party spaces to international culture hot spots like London, Paris, Milan and Oslo – Sliink is entering the next chapter of his career. The OWSLA Records bossman Skrillex sought out Sliink’s diverse club sound as the newest addition to their eclectic roster.

Michael is a singer songwriter from Montreal. Music has always been a huge part of his life.  
Michael took up piano at the age of 5 starting off on a garage sale organ his mom bought him and he learned to play it by ear.  His writing is folk influenced, his piano poetic, his roots come from rock...
His music frees the heart, and his lyrics bring comfort...
Michael Murphy just finished his first full-length album entitled "Unmade Bed". An inspiring process that was led by his producer, engineer and drummer Fred Bouchard.  Recorded and mixed at Michel Pépin’s Studio Frissons which has housed artists like Rufus and Martha Wainwright, The McGarrigles, Jean-Leloup, and more recently associated with Grammy award winning Arcade Fire. Other creative sessions were held at Pierre Marchand’s ( Sarah McLachlan, Royal Wood etc.) studio.
Ben Wilkins lent his talents with string and brass arrangements on some of the songs on Michael’s album.

Unmade Bed is intelligent pop music where the singer songwriter delivers an authentic performance that is both gentle and profound.
