My submission for "AlI I need is you" remix competition!

Recently, I’ve been thinking about how remix competitions are organized and I feel the need to say something important.

This is not about winning. I understand that in any contest only a few entries can be selected and recognition is never guaranteed. That’s normal. The real issue is professionalism and fairness.

I put a lot of time and effort into my remix. I spent many late nights refining every detail, making sure the sound quality, structure and final mix were at the highest level I could achieve. I approached the project with respect for the original track and for the organizers.

That’s why it’s especially disappointing to realize that my submission was not even listened to. When someone invests hours, sometimes days into their work, the minimum they expect is that it will be properly reviewed and evaluated with integrity.

Remix competitions should truly support creativity and talent. If they are mainly promotional tools, that should be communicated clearly. In the creative industry, transparency, fairness and mutual respect are essential.

I will continue to stay dedicated to my craft, but I strongly believe that professional conduct benefits everyone in the creative community.

I’ve been reflecting on how certain decisions are made in the industry, especially in spaces that are supposed to discover talent. This isn’t about winning or losing. I fully understand that only a few entries can ever be chosen. Recognition is never guaranteed. What should be guaranteed, however, is consistency, transparency, and respect for the work put in.

When I take on a project, I commit fully. I spend hours on every detail, the sound, the intention, the identity of the track. That’s why I believe music should be judged for what it is, not who releases it, how visible they are, or how convenient it is for marketing purposes.

When the criteria favor established profiles, DJs with fanbases, or artists with more exposure, it stops being a space for discovery and becomes an extension of marketing. That limits the growth of those who are building from the ground up through real effort. The industry needs alignment between what it promises and what it actually practices.

I stay focused on my process, my growth, and keeping my creative integrity intact. I’d rather build solid foundations than chase shortcuts that value numbers over quality. My path is long-term, built on authenticity and respect for music.

And if that doesn’t fit with how some decisions are made, I’m not lowering my standards to fit in.
