Qui est tu ?
Mon nom d’artiste est Tom Nox. Je suis tombé amoureux de la musique électronique à la fin des années 90, captivé par l’énergie brute et indomptée de la techno underground. Vers 16 ans, je commence à explorer le mix vinyle et la production musicale, façonnant peu à peu un son qui m’est propre.

Tu joues quoi comme style de musique ?
Une techno qui mélange rythmes profonds et tonalités acid, et qui puise dans une large palette d’influences. J’aime créer des paysages sonores hypnotiques et immersifs, où les rythmes épurés laissent place à des textures mélodiques et éthérées.

Décris ta musique en 3 mots : 
Percutante, stellaire et électrisante.

Raconte-nous ton meilleur moment de DJ ?
Il y en a plusieurs évidemment, c’est difficile d’en choisir un en particulier. Mais je dois dire que d’avoir partagé les platines il y a deux ans avec Thomas Schumacher, artiste que je respecte et admire depuis plus de 25 ans, était une sensation très particulière. 

Ce serait quoi ton endroit rêvé pour mixer ?
Il y a des clubs mythiques où tout DJ rêve de jouer. On pense tous au Berghain ou encore au Tresor à Berlin. Personnellement le Fold à Londres est un endroit qui m’inspire énormément.

Ton goal en 2026 ?
J’en ai plusieurs, mais il y en a un en particulier qui me tient très à cœur : sortir mon deuxième disque vinyle avec mes collègues du label Triple Phase Records.
 Une anecdote de soirée à nous raconter ?  
C’était il y a plus d’une vingtaine d’années, à une rave improvisée dans un hangar qui appartenait au père d’un ami. Il y stockait ses camions. Il avait une société de transport routier. Cet ami avait « omis » de prévenir sont père de l’organisation de cette soirée, et au petit matin, les grandes portes du hangar s’ouvrent, laissant apparaitre un énorme camion semi-remorque, du type de ceux utilisé pour les convois exceptionnels. C’était le père qui voulait juste tranquillement stationner son engin dans son hangar au retour d’un long déplacement. 

Une track à nous faire découvrir ?
Un classique des années 90, à redécouvrir pour le coup ; très mélodique, à la croisée de la techno et de la trance : Mystery Land de Y-Traxx. Voyage émotionnel garanti.


Comment tu as vécu ce podcast ?
J’ai eu beaucoup de plaisir, et le système son à lui seul est un plaisir pour les oreilles !

Their musical journey since then has meandered through rock, funk, electro and pop to bring them to this place of catchy poolside grooves.
