Voici la première pièce "Introduction" de mon recueil pour piano Grand Bal, ici dans la transcription sur laquelle j'ai travaillé, pour orchestre !

Sur le même procédé que ma composition Folklore des landes, le recueil est composé sur la même histoire qu'un roman éponyme que j'écris en parallèle (le roman Grand bal sera pour 2025).

L'histoire : Le plus grand bal de la région est chamboulé quand un mystérieux personnage inconnu pénètre l’enceinte du palais à la veille de l'arrivée des invités. Sa présence amène la famille à faire des choix au milieu d'éléments de plus en plus perturbants pour la famille, le bal et bientôt pour tout le pays.

Dans cette introduction, sorte de bande-annonce du recueil, toutes ces mélodies sont abordées et survolées, comme une vision d'ensemble de toute l'histoire qui se déroulera.
Cette pièce comprend donc beaucoup des mélodies et thèmes des autres morceaux du recueil, les superposant méticuleusement.

Mockup made in Reaper with physical models of 8 double basses, 10 cellos, 12 violas, 14 II violins, 16 I violins, 2 flutes and 1 piccolo, 2 oboes and 1 english horn, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, 4 horns and 1 tuba, 1 harp and 1 set of sampled ketteldrums. 

The project took 16 hours over 5 days. The original MIDI is from the ballet version, but for reference I used the 1919 reochestration score, the Santtu-Matias Rouvali's 1945 version and the original 1965 Stravinsky's version with the New Philharmonia Orchestra.

Venezuelan trumpet player and educator Gabriel Gutiérrez began his music studies at a young age with the renowned music program El Sistema at the "Vicente Emilio Sojo" Conservatory in Barquisimeto. He holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education from "Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador" and a Master’s in Music Performance from Florida International University, currently pursuing a Doctoral degree at the Frost School of Music, University of Miami, where he serves as a Teaching Assistant of Professor Craig Morris's studio.

Gutiérrez co-founded Ensamble 7/4, a versatile septet spanning genres like Jazz, Latin, classical, and Pop. Over the past fifteen years, he has toured internationally, performing at prestigious venues such as the Berliner Philharmonie and Walt Disney Concert Hall. He has collaborated with notable artists like Canadian Brass, Mnozil Brass, Gustavo Dudamel, James Morrison, Arturo Sandoval, and Allen Vizzutti. He has recorded five albums with Ensamble 7/4, winning four silver medals at the Global Music Awards.

In the U.S., he has worked as a Teaching Artist in various El Sistema-inspired programs. He regularly performs with orchestras, including the Naples Philharmonic, Palm Beach Symphony, Symphony of the Americas, Orchestra Miami, Miami Symphony, and South Florida Symphony Orchestra.

The Skin Vehicles is, an experimental, electronic, psychedelic twister that is mostly instrumental. The sound is cinematic, ideas twist and turn, this is the music for the film you haven't seen yet. 'Fine Art' in sound.
 
Skin Vehicles is the Musical output of Fine artist Dex Hannon and Writer Dexuality Valentino. Working solo or in collaboration, nothing is the same, because life doesn't work like that. Based in Northern England. He has released 13 albums under Skin Vehicles and also 2 albums under the guise of DVEC with American Collaborator Eunice Cazarez. His music has featured on BBC Radio 3 Late Junction as well as stations internationally.
 
Working in different creative spaces, he allows the music, art and writing to weave through everything he does. Sometimes the art will influence the writing or the music or the music will influence the painting. A lot of the paintings and music bear the same names, feeding each other.
