I’m Jessanne, a singular soul who tripped into sound. An illness knocked me flat once..then the universe delivered to me a strange gift, a twist of fate I didn’t see coming, chromesthesia. Now I play piano by ear, no rules, just instinct barreling in. Life has spun me full circle and I ended up back at the beginning where I restart as the me I might’ve been. The music carries it to the world: the steps, the stumbles, the rises, hope. My odd little win, whispered out loud.

Profound Sessions has been born out of the love of quality deeper tracks full of smooth grooves, slo-mo beats and deep bubbly bass.
Each week will feature a mix from either resident Craig Turner or a featured DJ guest. Could be a well known DJ, producer/remixer or a reletively unkown artist that deserves to be heard. One thing that will be guaranteed is the quality of both the tunes and the mix.

Playing piano is my daily therapy against stress. That also repels the rodents that attempt to squat my attic in winter !

As an insomniac, I mainly play at night. Each improvisation is like a snapshot of my mood and state of mind of the instant.

I record almost everything I play. From time to time one of these improvisations inspires me enough, and I use it as a basis for a composition.
