A string quartet remix of Rihanna's Disturbia made specifically for a video I'm working on about Marlena's Possession storyline in Days of our Lives, which I hope to finish sometime this century. The track was constructed by me from Rihanna's raw vocal sessions, plus two different instrumental string arrangements of the song that I found on YouTube.

"Rikers: Songs of the Voiceless", is a two movement work that is referenced by the experiences SEVEN)SUNS had volunteering at Rikers Island as a part of the Rangjung Dharma Prison Project, an organization that serves the inmates and the corrections officers by guidance through meditation practices that foster a greater sense of peace and release from habitual ways of seeing ourselves. The piece is an attempt to reflect the vital and radical work being done there. The first movement, "Trivisa", or "Three Poisons", is meant to convey the three poisons of delusion, attachment, and aversion in Buddhist philosophy. It is meant to convey the human experience of these poisons in the mind- how universal they are and how any of us could reasonably end up at a place like Rikers Island. The second movement, "Shunyata", or "Emptiness", is meant to convey the key truth of the Heart Sutra- "form is emptiness and emptiness is form" which is the goal of realization for any sentient being, and the key, according to Buddhist philosophy, to defeating suffering.
