Lost Realms (demo theme music)

In this short piece, I took inspiration from film composer Ryuichi Sakamoto's main theme for the  movie The Revenant. Drawing from the structure of the A section of the piece, I wanted to caupture the same emotive ominous energy that his work conveyed. I focused on the articulation of the legato strings in order to recreate the same elongated phrasing that caputures so much emotion. Following the ebbing and flowing of the tide on the shoreline, I wanted to use this as an opportunity to create material that followed the pattern of a natural occurances (like the tide).
