This episode is an offering of music from Palestine, Congo, Sudan, Lebanon and Haiti - a few of the countries that are experiencing a humanitarian crisis due to genocide, war and/or extreme suffering under forces of oppression from Western imperialism and influence.

Their voices will not be silenced.
Their music transcends all.

It's a very special episode (one for the heart and hips) and I feel grateful and humbled to be able to share just the tip of the iceberg of some of these sonic treasures.

May these songs bring warmth, compassion, a call to action and may they perhaps be a catalyst to learn more about what is happening in the world.

An ever-evolving configuration of water and organic compounds, Chelsea Ann functions as a mirror and conduit. Expressing outwardly as a practising multidisciplinary artist and musician, but at the core, she/they are nobody.

Radio Flouka is an international online radio-station based in Paris. Launched at the end of 2018, it has relied on the the goodwill of volunteers and a steady stream of Middle Eastern talent for the ultimate goal of redefining how the world sees contemporary music from the region.
