But not for us.
They cut the crumbs… and serve cake to the top.

They campaign on a tax slash, actin’ like it’s generous,
But the cuts don’t reach the bottom, only benefit the treacherous.
Trickle down’s a myth, we’re soaked in the drought,
While the rich get richer and we’re scraping it out.

They slashed council funds, then they shuttered the parks,
Took the heat from the homes and the light from the dark.
Libraries closed, and the buses got sold,
But they still got a chauffeur on the government roll.

Universal credit ain’t enough for a bed,
While a hedge fund donor gets another tax shred.
Cut welfare and claim we’re lazy and fat—
Try surviving on that, where the rent eats your flat.
