In this week's installment of the "Delayed with..." series, we're excited to present you with the creative world of a familiar luminary. Moy Santana, one of the masterminds of Sungate record label and one-half of the dynamic Fase Bipolar duo, emerges not only as a talented producer and exceptional DJ but also as a curator shaping the vibrant Spanish underground techno scene. Moy's impact over recent years, whether through his collaborative efforts with Fran at Sungate, the evocative Observatory podcast series, his original productions, or his mind-altering DJ sets, has been extraordinary.

Today, we're thrilled to unveil one of Moy's "mind-benders," meticulously crafted for our series. While the term "journey" often feels clichéd when describing DJ mixes, Moy's mix effortlessly transcends this label. At its core, this mix embodies the essence of techno. Yet, Moy seamlessly introduces unexpected sonic elements, traversing through dub house, electro, tribal, acid, and back to the depths of techno. The sheer agility with which Moy manipulates these nuances is breathtaking, demonstrating how subtle shifts can redefine genre boundaries while remaining steadfast to the mix's overarching narrative.

HSR 065: Deep, Hypnotic Techno IV

Sungate welcomes the return of Fase Bipolar to its barracks.
The valencian duo, composed of label co-founder Moy Santana and infamous antihero Finalversion3, soars at nosebleed altitude with an EP of uncompromised techno. 
Tinged with euphoria, these tracks are the perfect soundtrack to solar storm navigation. A myriad of electromagnetic rhythms bombarded by white noise, FM alchemy, and a heavy dose of rumbling bass. 
Anthony Linell adds to the release with a remix characterised by its addictive pulse, an exploration into texture locked into an elegant grid of mechanised techno. Desroi’s remix, in turn, pushes the EP’s euphoric traits up a notch by delivering a shimmering rework of club-focused dance impressionism.

Sungate joins friends and family with a V.A in support of the victims of the storms in Valencia.

On October 28th, flash floods decimated the better part of the southern and western areas of the Valencia province, alongside many other points of spain. What followed was a catastrophic event resulting in storm surges, collapsing bridges, thousands stuck on roads and streets, ultimately leading to a death toll that is now estimated over 200, and unfortunately, rising.

Homes, animal shelters, businesses, personal property, and ultimately, families, have been destroyed by this catastrophe. an event that caught thousands out in the street, heading to and from school, work, and daily lives unalerted. severe warnings only got to our phones 10 hours after, despite being warned by weather centers and flood prevention institutions for days.

With Sungate’s staff both residing and having ties to the city, we’ve decided to release “Healing Rays”, a V.A with 22 tracks to gather funds to re-distribute to those most in need, buy essential products and help in the re-construction of a damaged region. We are joining a series of charitable releases from others in the city that has seen a wave of supporting press, and more importantly, an overwhelming amount of support.

We are infinitely thankful to Maspaventi for mastering this release and all the artists that have given their music away for the cause.
