Dan Solar (AKA Dan Clark), is an Auckland-based DJ and producer, recognised as a pioneer of soulful dance music in New Zealand. With a career spanning three decades, Dan has helped shape the local electronic music landscape, from launching one of Aucklands first dance music record stores in the early 90’s, to running dance nights and sharing the stage with many high-calibre DJs and musicians.
Since 1994, Dan has held residencies at some of the country’s most iconic nightclubs, festivals, and radio stations, including an eight-year tenure on George FM. His signature DJ sets bring together the rich history of dance music while pushing the boundaries of House, Disco, Broken Beat and beyond.
