I just love making music because it brings me peace. Started as a DJ in The Bay Area, and got into producing in 2020 (left the vinyl behind after 20 yrs). I found I have a real passion for singing and songwriting as well.

My real name is gauge , this is why I’ve ultimately chosen this name above the many aliases I use . 6kay , gauge , dropoutkid , l0stb0y. This is me and I genuinely live and breathe my art every single day. Common things that come up for me in music and my life are abandonment, feeling accepted, yearning , drugs lol , and the constant battle with the self. But ultimately the things I’ve been through have made me intensely aware of me. I was abandoned by my real parents from a young age and they were extreme addicts (meth heroin crack etc) this caused a lot of neglect and I didn’t have someone there that loved me unconditionally , so this makes it hard for me to feel accepted and loved cause I don’t beleive it and have always had to accept my self or love my self. I forsure have gained an ego through that that I am aware of and combat. Amongst the million other problems that come with that. Thankfully my parents are now sober and we have reconnected and started the healing process. Which has made me feel that unconditional love and feel so much for fulfillment that I didn’t know was or could be. I also was placed in a home through cps (child protective services) that didn’t exactly love me as their own , further perpetuating these things/problems. I am so grateful to everyone that relates and sees my music and hears my emotion. Ofcourse I fib and exaggerate but i genuinely do put my pain in this shit. So thank you for resonating. I love you all and hope for all to feel love
