Welcome to Side B of #32weeksMixtape! We are  making our way through part 4 of  4. This phase's topics/feelings/concepts involve: 💝Love/Acceptance/Ownership/Independence💝

For starters, this was written and recorded before the tragic passing of my friend Paris. The track was supposed to be a venting session about how lonely this process had been, and how it felt like my friends, especially the ones I bonded with through music, weren't taking this music journey seriously. The album to come is written and mostly recorded. Domo had been helping tremendously by providing instrumentals and feedback. Tyson was/is going through his own processes, but I needed his vocals (and still do!). Paris was supposed to hop on some tracks with me, and was supposed to lay a verse down for this project. The last time I saw my brother was a day he was supposed to slide through and lay down the said verse. He ended up popping up like 3 hours later than agreed, was distracted, and so the work wasn't able to get done. While we sat there, I decided to play some of the #32weeksMixtape tracks for him. This one and week 29 had his head bobbing. He understood that 28 was me lamenting the perceived inaction of my team. Labor Day weekend, I had invited him to a small show that I was planning to perform. That was our last corresponding texts. During one of our last verbal phone conversations, for whatever f*cked up reason, he mentioned that at his funeral he wanted everyone wearing blue. He specifically stated for me to wear either a LA Dodgers cap, or a Mariners hat. Still in shock to hear about his passing, I ordered my hat but it took forever to get here. Unfortunately, I was unable to wear it to his ceremony. So the importance of this hat is everything. After his passing, this song hit 100% different, as it now fully displays the feelings of grief...or at least it does to me. 
"I have a vision including you. I won't get in the way if you excuse yourself. Just know that I was choosing you. 'Cause I'm your brother, I hate the idea of losing you." - This was me speaking of the journey of creating something sustainable with our music...but I'm sure you now hear it like I hear it.

To his family: I know he loved all of you, especially his children. I hope I did well by him, and all of you. ~LLP💙🕊💙

To those who check on me: I love you all. I appreciate each moment you pick up the phone, each time you respond to a text. You never know how bad I need hear your voices.
