The protagonist speaks to his "chair," symbolizing power, and in the final verse, the true nature of the relationship is unveiled. The song is built on a jazz foundation with acoustic piano, contrabass, and muted trumpet, enriched by tribal rhythms using treated wood instruments. The symphonic orchestration of strings and woodwinds in the chorus adds a dynamic build, culminating in a delicate synth finale. Classified as crossover pop, "Beautiful" draws inspiration from artists like Peter Gabriel, Sting, and David Byrne.
