KAJAGOOGOO - TOO SHY (RIDWAN KIPP NU DISCO MIX)

A keyboard freak-out on steroids. Synths scream, pianos punch, and arpeggios spiral into absolute madness — all wrapped in a groove that won’t let go. Think space carnival meets jazz club in a blender on fire. It’s glitchy, funky, chaotic, and unapologetically over the top.

In honor of Prince's birthday today (June 7), I wanted to pay tribute with a mashup--and I had the idea of mashing up his iconic B-side "Erotic City" with my friend  @DJChidowandMyujikku  's "Green, Exotic and Erotic", the theme song for Margo from the Hands Up! series of animated shorts created by Joel G. The two songs fit like a glove, I'm really proud of this one. Thank you to DJ Chidow for helping me make it and for providing me with the extended mix of "Green, Exotic and Erotic" that I used for it.

Cazimi, or "in the heart of the Sun." This mix is dedicated to Cooper, the kindest soul, who left us for a better place on 6.21.25.

It's not been known for Invisible Inc to reissue music except for the occasional obscure individual track...never an EP or an entire album.

But that unspoken rule has now been broken: Invisible Inc is proud to present the exceptional "Dual Head" by Swedish duo Futurum.

Originally released by Nadaville in 2023, Invisible Inc office boy GK Machine was amongst the lucky few to receive a promo of the album and the opening track "Prado" has been featured in his DJ sets ever since.

At the time the album went somewhat under the radar and it was felt at INVINC HQ that it deserved to be brought to a wider audience and (re)appreciated for what it was: a voyage through a myriad of sonic landscapes. The aforementioned "Prado" is a semi-organic bass-driven groove that resides somewhere between progressive psych and folk funk, oozing with '80s kosmische synth lines and melodies. "Beckholmen Bop" takes us to an entirely different space: a futuristic but sinister and mechanical wasteland in which metal oil cans are beaten by a gang of stray pagan robots. The title track "Dual Head" is an experiment in jazzed-out cyberfunk. "Spoeke" (meaning "Ghost") is a direct doorway into the spirit world!

Their sound, as well as utilising live instruments, is predominantly built around experimenting with digital synthesis: FM, AM and physical modelling.

The duo (Mattias Jonsson and Sæmundur Grettisson) tell us they recorded the album "during a weekend in a small cabin south of Stockholm in the winter of 2021. The beautiful calmness of the surroundings, and eerie late night sounds, like owls screeching, inspired some of the tracks, especially "Spoeke". At some later sessions in Studio Bank in Stockholm, percussionist Philippe "l'Animal" Lassey and drummer Tobias Berving contributed some jazz-funk grooves and afro-cuban elements to the mixture."

The artwork tries to capture the sense of wildness and folklore that the cabin conjures up and which comes through in these recordings.
