i wanted to make a patch where the make noise rene sequencer just slowly played through various notes.. a slow wander... with something like a bell or an electric piano...

this is pretty simple.. the rene plays a synth tech e350... the phonogene captured a bit of a loop that plays in the background and the whole thing runs through a 12 second delay on an eventide h7600.

this isn't exactly as i envisioned (is it ever?) but it's close and i'll certainly keeping working in this theme to see if i can capture what's in my mind.

Shards of color—rose, citrine, cobalt—ricocheted from blade to blade, until the entire plain shimmered as though woven from molten prisms. Where ordinary grass might rustle, these crystalline stalks chimed, their notes falling into a lazy, hypnotic arpeggio that drifted across the endless horizon.

Kalei stood ankle-deep in that shimmering field, cloak spangled with jewelled dust, feeling the quiet hum of the prairie resonate in their ribs. They had come in search of the legendary Wings of Liquid Quartz—a myth whispered among a thousand nomad caravans. The story went that anyone who uncovered the wings and learned their secret would no longer be shackled to a single realm or lifetime; they would ride the fault-lines of reality itself. Kalei’s heart, restless since childhood, needed no further invitation.

A few steps beyond the trailhead, they discovered their first omen: a sprite, no larger than a fingernail, fluttered out from between the grass-blades, leaving a rainbow contrail that spelled a single imperative in mid-air—follow. It winked once, then darted east toward the sunrise. Kalei grinned, adjusted the pack on their shoulders, and gave chase.

Ten minutes in, daylight folded abruptly into bruised‐purple dusk. The Glass Prairie’s glow dimmed, and a velvety mist unrolled like a carpet before Kalei’s boots. The transformation felt less like twilight and more like stepping backstage during a play—set pieces rearranging, curtains shifting, new lights blooming overhead.

They had entered the Umbra Rift.

The Rift was a place of reflection—literally and otherwise. Pools of liquid night pooled between the crystal blades, each acting as a dark mirror. As Kalei peered into one, their reflection smirked back and spoke without sound: What if the Wings aren’t meant for you? The silent question curdled into a dozen more doubts. Every step forward raised an echo of hesitation.

But Kalei—who’d survived sandstorms, mind-leeches, and memories that were not entirely their own—answered by plunging a hand into the inky pool. It was colder than vacuum, hotter than lightning. When they withdrew, a thumb-sized onyx gemstone clung to their palm, pulsing dimly, as though breathing. The stagnant mist scattered at once, the fake twilight retreating in ragged streaks. Kalei felt the doubts peel away too, like old bark from fresh wood.

They pressed on, heart drumming in perfect time with the far-off four-on-the-floor beat that seemed to underlie the world.

Astra Veyl never trusted the horizon of any new planet until she could taste its light. Rhythmea’s dusk tasted like violet sugar and static. The starship’s hatch yawned open onto an obsidian plain where each footstep chimed against glassy rock. Far away, a saffron aurora pulsed in sync with something deep underground—steady as a heartbeat.

Her mission log, still flickering in mid-air, claimed the world was long abandoned. Yet as she knelt to brush the soil she found no soil at all—only faceted crystal chips that sang when the wind shifted. She felt the hum through her boots and through her bones: a metronomic throb of 129 cycles per minute. An impossible coincidence. She’d listened to rumors of Rhythmea since cadet school: “The planet that writes its own dreams.” But none had spoken of the mirrored grass.

A gust cut across the plain and dimmed the aurora; for an instant the land went translucent, like a sheet of smoked quartz. Curiosities aside, Astra’s reasons for coming were personal. Somewhere on this world, the legend said, was a field that could split a person into every version they might have been. She wanted answers only the lost echoes of herself could provide.

The horizon shimmered again. This time it bent—an origami fold in empty space—revealing a corridor of triboluminescent wind. Hexagonal snowflakes spun upward inside the fold, glowing neon-blue. When she stepped nearer, the fold flexed, inviting her inside.

She exhaled. Adventure begins when comfort ends. That had been her academy instructor’s mantra. Astra touched the pane and the portal swallowed her whole.

II. Through the Glitch-Wind Corridor
Inside the tunnel the wind blew in all directions at once yet felt perfectly still. Data-flakes drifted through her suit’s grav-field, some brushing her visor, each displaying cryptic star-maps before dissolving. Mushroom caps bigger than her fists grew straight from the air, iridescent gills exhaling spores that danced like coded confetti. She tried and failed to catch one; it split into prismatic motes and reassembled farther on, laughing in colors she could hear.

Time distorted. She felt stretched, then compacted, then stretched again. Eventually, the corridor pinched down to a door-sized aperture fringed with living circuitry. A single step and—

Most travelers dismissed the tale as hallucinogenic folklore—until Zai Thornwell, cartographer of the uncharted, found a half-melted star-map in the wreck of an ancient scout pod. The map pulsed like a wounded heart, each beat projecting fractal constellations across its cracked surface. One glyph glimmered brighter than the rest: a pair of entwined blossoms enclosed in a ring of static.

Guided by that flicker, Zai piloted the single-seat skiff Eventide into Kaleidra’s ink-black orbit. The moon greeted visitors with silence, but its silence breathed. Glassy shards hovered in the sky—suspended debris from some forgotten cataclysm—singing faint chimes as solar wind threaded through them. When Zai stepped onto the jagged surface, the shards vibrated harder, reflecting impossible stars. Each reflection pointed the same way, as though the moon itself urged the cartographer forward.

II. Descent of the Sub-Sea Titans
Minutes into the trek, the basalt plain beneath Zai’s boots liquefied, rolling like an invisible tide. The ground sank into an abyss, revealing a black ocean that hadn’t been there moments before. Towering shapes rose from its depths—Sub-Sea Titans, colossal constructs whose skin was encrusted with living algae glowing turquoise in the dark. They never spoke, yet their emergence sent gravitational pulses ricocheting through reality, tilting the horizon, sliding constellations across the firmament like beads on a string.

The Titans parted wordlessly to create a spiral walkway of suspended water. Zai, breath held, treaded the liquid helices downward. Though the water should have drowned any spark of light, it shimmered with inner dawns, illuminating carvings on every droplet: binary sigils that changed meaning each time they were read. At the vortex’s core, an air pocket yawned wide, releasing Zai onto a plateau of violet moss.

PROLOGUE — SHARDS OF THE SLEEPING SKY
Night on the planet Quoria is never truly dark; the heavens shimmer with a half-remembered aurora known as the Sleeping Sky. Everyone in the floating archipelago of Cloudroot knows the legend: when the aurora stirs, it means a Wanderer has been chosen by the cosmos itself.

Eloen Tiral, map-maker and reluctant dreamer, never asked to be that Wanderer. Yet on the eve of the triple moon alignment, when violet motes began tumbling from the stars like embers from a gargantuan hearth, the aurora cracked open and a single prism shard drifted down into her hands. The shard fluttered like a wounded hummingbird, then folded in on itself, revealing an impossible glyph: “Seek the Eye that sees a thousand things.”

The moment Eloen traced the glyph, gravity bent sideways, Cloudroot slipped beneath her feet, and she was swallowed by a tunnel of color.

CHAPTER 1 — THE RIVER OF LIQUID QUARTZ
Eloen landed—softly, miraculously—atop a glassy current that flowed through nothingness. The River of Liquid Quartz pulsed beneath her boots, every droplet refracting her own bewildered reflection. Star-specks swirled above like curious fireflies, and distant mushroom monoliths cast sapphire halos across the water.

A voice—not quite a voice—rippled through the river: You stand in the Interstice, cartographer. Your maps end here, but the path does not.

Eloen knelt, dipping her fingers into the flow. It was warm and humming, as though the very notion of music had liquefied. With each pulse, the river projected shimmering coordinate lines into the air, charting a route toward a colossal orb far beyond the horizon—a faint pinprick of iridescent light. She knew, without knowing how, that this was the Thousand-Eye Supernova.

When she stepped forward, the current carried her effortlessly. Bioluminescent koi leapt beside her, shedding equations that assembled into floating bridges before splashing back. Each step was both falling and flying, and time folded into a Möbius strip of wonder.

It breathed xylem-cold vapor through pulsating vents, tasting every quantum tremor around it the way a deep-sea jelly tastes electric currents. Captain Cela Armitage stepped onto the motion-slick deck and felt the ship’s pulse synchronize with her own heartbeat—ba-dum… ba-dum…—and the voyage began in visceral unison.

I. Sporebound
Eidolon uncurled its membranous sails and drifted from dry dock like an iridescent manta, leaving the gravitational comfort of Larsa-IX behind. On deck, Cela’s crew—former xenobotanists turned outlaw cartographers—unpacked glass flasks of dormant lucido-mycelium. With a ceremonial whisper, they cracked each flask against the deck. Milk-white spores spilled, rose in slow motion, and embedded themselves into the vessel’s air vents. The hull shivered. Biocircuits lit up in spiraling constellations that spelled one word in harsh fluorescence:

CONJUNCTION

Gravity inverted. Eidolon shot forward so suddenly the stars themselves appeared to snap like rubber bands. Cela’s stomach plunged, yet euphoria chased the drop, as though every cell in her marrow had sprouted wings. The ship had accepted its passengers; they were now part of its symbiotic nervous system. Together, they would emirate across the Expanse, surfing the hidden currents known only to spore-tuned craft: the Starglides.

II. Crescent of Singing Quartz
Hours—maybe centuries—later, they coasted through an asteroid shoal shaped like a crescent grin. Each boulder was made of green-blue quartz that sang when struck by solar wind. The melodies were not music; they were labyrinthine thoughts made audible, an alien language older than planets.

The ship slowed, drawn by curiosity. Spore tendrils extruded from the prow, tasting the sound-vibration. Cela felt it through her bones: the quartz was broadcasting coordinates to a place beyond mapped reality, a realm where thought could terraform matter. The singing threatened to fracture her mind into fractal shards, so she swallowed a micro-dose of mind-shield—a synthesized echo of muscimol and harmine—letting the edges of reason soften without dissolving.

Ridges formed along Eidolon’s hull like gooseflesh. It aligned itself with the quartz-song and pivoted thirty-seven degrees starboard, aiming toward a black seam in space that until now had masqueraded as ordinary emptiness.

Explorer-librarian Nyra Vale arrived alone—save for her pocket-sized archivist drone, Glyph—hunting a legend whispered through pirate channels: “Where the caps glow indigo at dawn, reality folds easier than parchment.” She believed those words pointed to the Quantum Shrooms—organisms rumored to warp probabilities with every heartbeat. Secure in a sapphire pressure suit, Nyra stepped from her scarab-shaped lander onto a lattice of fungal roots as wide as an ocean. The ground pulsed beneath her boots in a steady, alluring beat, like a promise or a dare.

A shriek of chromatic light erupted a kilometer away: indigo caps blooming taller than skyscrapers, their stalks braided with silver mycelium. Every pulse rippled into the air as a prismatic shockwave, rearranging reality like shards in a kaleidoscope. Nyra’s breath caught—the Surge had begun.

She set a micro-beacon and walked toward the phenomenon. With each step, memories surfaced unbidden: her childhood kite morphing into a solar sail, a lost friend’s laughter echoing like crystal chimes, dreams she hadn’t yet dreamed. Verridia’s spores read her mind and projected possibilities into living hallucinations. Nyra steadied herself, remembering her mantra: Observe, don’t drown.

I go by Kirby; Hailing from New Jersey specializing in the space between time.

With over 100 physical releases since its inception by Taylor Deupree in 1997, New York-based music label 12k has decisively defined and developed the concept of minimalism in the realms of electronic music for more than a decade. Fusing elements from Ambient and Electro-Acoustic Composition with carefully arranged digital textures and associative micro-noises, the label's aesthetics revolve around a precisely-outlined, yet deeply emotional concoction of the technological and the organic. Eschewing the typical marketing mechanisms of the commercial music industry, Deupree has sculpted a platform whose influence today extends well beyond the confinements of the experimental community. 12k's integral approach, in which the label's instantly recognizable, elegantly spartan artwork enters into an inseparable symbiosis with the music, has created a timeless audiovisual language respected and appreciated all over the world.

Eclipsical is interstellar gutter music. A faint, hopeful light in overbearing darkness; a single shining star somehow holding significance within a vast cosmic nothingness. Born in the dust-filled vibes of a ‘90s apartment, Grass Patch Bum started spinning records back when vinyl was king and internet cafes were revolutionary. Armed with a crate of vinyl, Grass Patch Bum dived headfirst into underground raves and sweaty house parties, learning the art of blending beats on turntables and (eventually) the "futuristic" CDJs. But the journey didn't stop there.

After taking a hiatus to dive into the world of FL Studio and dissect the mechanics of production, Grass Patch Bum came back stronger, with a repertoire of original sounds and the technical chops to match. Fast forward, and they've turned dancefloors upside down from Thailand to Vietnam, Bali to the heart of Europe. Now, powered by Ableton Live and a creative arsenal that refuses to stay in one genre, Grass Patch Bum weaves sonic journeys that blend groove, grit, and just a sprinkle of nostalgia for the good ol' days.
