Talla 2XLC – FAZEmag In The Mix 152

I recorded this audio diary last night in one take. It is an interpolation of an aLL vINyL set I played 03 March 2023 at The 700 for a series called Basics. The original recorded audio is probably lost, but it's 95% of the set + I wanted it to fit on a CD.

It's unhinged and you'll love it like all my freeform vinyl mixes (lol) at least it's honest and the records are ossum. The Electric Ballroom suite in the middle was a vibe myself and my crowd enjoyed then: all those 12" singles sound so pure and they keep the floor moving. It's also a self-indulgent 303OD with artistic merit.

My intention is to recenter control to creators.

With 13 LPs and over 300 EPs released on iconic labels such as Harthouse, Superstition, Data Records, Hooj Choons, and Yoshitoshi, Oliver Lieb has been a driving force in electronic music for more than three decades.
He has remixed a wide range of artists—from globally recognized acts like Faithless, The Human League, Moby, and Yello to rising talents shaping the future of the scene.

Under influential aliases including L.S.G., Paragliders, S.O.L., The Ambush, and others—as well as under his own name—Oliver has explored and defined a broad spectrum of underground electronic genres.
His work spans techno, trance, house, and ambient, all while developing a signature sound that is instantly recognizable and deeply respected.

With his releases, DJ sets and guest mixes on shows like Transitions, Tronic Radio and GEM FM he continues to cement his position at the cutting edge of contemporary music remaining a true original, a creative force and an inspiration to many.

In 2015, I was behind the DJ booth for the last time. After years of DJing, it was time for new challenges. 

In November '24, during a house party, I took on the challenge again and played a few hours of trance and techtrance. After receiving many positive reactions, it became clear to me that it was time to pick up again something I had enjoyed so much years ago. 

I bought a Pioneer RX3 and everything that came with it, and I’ve re-embraced my former hobby. During a New Year’s party with many good friends in Zoetermeer, I played a trance set called NEW YEAR'S PARTY (my first upload here). Everyone was very excited!

The best way to start a New Year;  Picking up again what I did with so much pleasure years ago!  I want to thank everybody who inspired me by starting DJing again!
