As a young reporter from Bucks County, Pennsylvania — one of the most politically divided counties in America — Isaac learned the media ecosystem was broken when he wasn’t being judged based on his writing, but where it was being published. Recognizing the need for open-minded political discourse based on the merit of ideas rather than left/right leanings, he bootstrapped Tangle in 2019. 

Isaac has written for TIME Magazine, Vox, The New York Daily News, HuffPost, and The Forward. In 2016, Yahoo News named him one of the 16 people whose writing shaped the presidential election.

Oh Boy Howdy have we got noodles for you this week! Eli is frothing with anticipation because he’s got three cup noodles to blitz through AND he’s managed to get his little claws on two new noodle/pasta hybrid meals. Paul is going to just have to deal with the onslaught of instant noodle goodness that is coming his way. They’ll be sampling some vile Pickled Onion Super Noodles, guzzling down some spicy hot Kim Chi Jjigae broth and see what the Squid Game licenced Rice Cakes in Sweet and Spicy sauce is like. Once that’s been tasted and tested, the Cheap Chaps are moving on to a new line of food from Samyang called Tangle. It seems to be an instant noodle meets Italian pasta hybrid thing that can’t taste as weird as it sounds, right? However, if you fear its all noodle, all the time, then don’t worry as we have a brilliant new character making a debut. Even Eli approves! Who is Dicky Churdlington and what’s his top tip for the races this weekend? As ever, you have to listen to find out!

Throughout our lives at different times, we often yearn for independence, whether it be financial, political, or personal. But when we achieve it, the experience of freedom is often short-lived.   
 
Join Fiona Ryder and Sarah Fitzgerald in a conversation exploring:
• what true independence really means and how we can attain it
• what fears or obstacles get in the way of being more independent
• how we can distinguish between providing or taking helpful support and inadvertently fostering over-dependence.

 Speakers:
Fiona, who is based in Cardiff, is a mother of three grown up children and a grandmother. Now retired, Fiona has worked for different charities over the years, as well as for her local council, supporting individuals with mental health issues and special needs.  Fiona has been practising Raja Yoga meditation for over 30 years and recently qualified as a Naturopathic Nutritionist.   

Sarah from Cambridge, UK, is a trained Interior Designer who discovered Raja Yoga in Cambodia in 2009. She now focuses on "real interior design"—inner transformation—and volunteers at the Cambridge Brahma Kumaris centre, supporting events and activities.
