Makin' Moves straight out of the gate in 2024 with a track from our own Arnaud D ft. Tasha Larae. Bringing forth an updated remix from the man known as Coflo, who we are glad to welcome and his work ethic over the last few years has been exceptional to say the least! Bringing that bumpy bassline with innovative electronic chords blended with tantalising piano rifts, whilst keeping this jam oh so soulful with "the Dancer' effect intact. From start to finish, Tasha's vocal delivery as always is on point and guaranteed to keep the dance floor movin'. Enjoy.

so,… i had my first gig! and this is the set i played.

it was challenging and exciting, but fulfilling. a big shoutout to michael d. callahan and the entire team for the opportunity to play live in the beautiful venue of ballroom by barbary coast in singapore 🇸🇬 


mine was an opening set (11pm-1am) and i tried to sculpt it accordingly - start slow and mellow, pick up a bit in the second half, and calm it back down somewhat in the last couple of tracks. let me know what you think

In 2008 Ms. LaRae joined hip-hop trailblazers as their new lead female vocalist and wrote and performed on several Arrested Development albums including "Strong" 2009, "Standing At The Crossroads" 2012, "Changing The Narrative" 2016, "This Was Never Home" 2016, and "Craft & Optics" 2018, with the band picking up 2 x Grammy Awards on the way. I'm French and I've been DJ'ing as a pro for 35 years, mainly focusing on Soulful and House Music. You'll find all my mixes and mash up here on SoundCloud, but I'm also one of the Resident DJs on Capital Disko Radio, I post a mix every month

As featured on the House Nation radio show, Housebound Radio, Even Funkier Radio show, the Disco Waltons show, Feel Good Friday on NDC Radio and Diamond Radio.

Hailing from Aberdeen but now living in Edinburgh, Ewan's love of music started from an early age when he started to listen to soul, funk and disco.  In 1993, Ewan started listening to Pete Tong's Essential Selection and Essential Mix shows and his love of house music started.

A pair of belt drive turntables and basic mixer were purchased shortly afterwards and Ewan started DJing at house parties and birthday parties while at University.  The belt drives were upgraded to 1210s which he still owns and Ewan continued to play at local parties, gigs and events. 

30 years on Ewan still likes to collect a broad range of disco and soulful house-music although the tempo has moderated over the years.  He makes regular recordings to share with like-minded music fans and has featured on the Even Funkier radio show, the Disco Waltons show on NDC Radio and Diamond Radio. He references Graeme Park (fellow Aberdeen fan), MAW, Dave Lee, Norman Jay, Dimitri from Paris and Frankie Knuckles as major influencers .


Makin' Moves was set up in the Summer 2012, a new music and events company set up by Matt Langrish-Smith and Jamesey D. Makin' Moves nurtures up and coming talent, aswell as collaborating with established names. Matt has a wealth of experience under his belt having previously worked for dance independents Papa Records and Tribe Records UK, an internationally acclaimed label and events company. Jamesey, along with hosting his own radio show on www.housefm.net since 2004, has been an essential cog in the wheel of London's soulful & deep house scene, independently performing at most of the major parties in London swell as guest spots abroad in Japan, New York and Dubai. 

The label has seen a heavy output of quality releases this year from the likes of Dazzle Drums from Japan, DJ Fudge & Hallex M from Hong Kong and UK soul singer Omar, Gianluca Pighi & Massimo Paramour from Italy and Tiger Wilson from New York all of which have reached the top positions on digital promo store Traxsource.com.
The Makin' Moves Radio Show is every Thursday on www.housefm.net from 8-10pm (GMT) with Matt L-S and Jamesey on rotation.
