Contemporary Bass, Electro, Breaks & Rave Music

In the previous episode, the Vibracid technique was discovered as a way to deactivate memories imposed by technocratic elites. 

Now, with VIBRACID 2, its real deployment begins: a series of sonic attacks targeting control systems through rave vibrations.

Each track is a weapon. Each producer, a node of resistance. 'Vibracid Advent,' the single that launched the assault, opens the mini album with acidic force - delivering the first sonic strike that breaks through imposed control. From the acidic and powerful aggression of Calagad 13 (Spain), through the modular precision and acid techno of C.C.O (Contra Communem Opinionem, Switzerland), to the dark, industrial electro of Mokotron (New Zealand). Atix brings the French 90s rave energy; Wicked Wes, from Florida (USA), builds grooves with bifasic rhythms and glitch textures; and Romphea (Greece) closes with distorted breaks exploring chaos and sonic escape.

Careful sound and mastering, and exceptional design for a limited edition of 150 copies on solid red vinyl.

("So, what's with all of these Interbay tracks all having titles that start with the same letter lately?"  Oh, you noticed that?  Well, all I can say is that I'm not the only person in Seattle with M's on their mind at the moment.)  

(Yes, that IS a sportsball reference.)  

Well, we're all obviously living in the worst timeline (although, the M's being in the MLB playoffs is giving me hope.  Probably false hope, sure, but...it's something.  Sorry, Boston.) 

This latest Interbay track feels like an appropriate soundtrack for this timeline.  A bit paranoid AND the reasons for being paranoid, all wrapped up into one grindy cyberpunk track.  As suggested by the story behind the recently dropped "Machine Andalouse", I have a fondness for technology fueled music suggesting the dangers of technology.  

Maybe instead of Interbay, I should have called this project Cognitive Dissonance.  

(But, I'm not going to change it.  Interbay now, Interbay forever.)  

This track features a newsreader giving commentary and analysis on the convergence of the emerging American military state and the insanely anti-democratic Silicon Valley-types into becoming a The Dark Knight sort of surveillance network.  Big Brothers' telescreens ain't got NOTHING on whatever they've got cooking.

...but, while I still can, I'm making post-punk electronic dance music/mutant pop about it.  

If you like grindy cyberpunk, you'll love this track.  If you MIGHT like grindy cyberpunk, you should definitely give this track a listen.  And if you DON'T KNOW if you like grindy cyberpunk, you MUST listen to this track--how can you go on living if you don't know if you like grindy cyberpunk!?!?!

Cutting his teeth on Detroit techno as a youngster, a passion for deep sounds and beats grew as drum & bass (hardcore breakbeat and later dark jungle), trip hop, breaks, electronica and electro saturated the collection... Having DJ’d almost exclusively electro back in the late 90s at Adelaide clubs and on the radio, Atreides now gets his kicks formulating energy-pumping sets that infuse techno breaks, electro and IDM inspired by the next generation of incredible artists.
