Dexta 'Giraffes On Acid'  [Diffrent Music]

Isaac (d.hyun), co-owner of Turning Tables, founded the collective during lockdown 2021. Turning Tables had its origin in Soundcloud Radio and showcased Nugunnawal’s (Canberra’s) DJs at house parties. When restrictions eased, floor-bending kitchen sets turned into club nights and parties in the paddock. Isaac has a preposterous love for tunes, with a mania for deep meditative groove. This hour Isaac has curated for Chalkboard displays his devotion to modern jungle, techno-infused drum and bass and IDM. Isaac has showcased the darker side of his collections with tracks that are heavier to digest but full of meaning. A selection that has intertwined dub-infused basslines and soulful percussion with futuristically digital and spacey techno and IDM elements. This mix pays homage to the foundations and the past whilst maintaining a forward-thinking perception towards jungle/DnB. A journey through percussive broken beats, experimental techno-dub, dark breaks and bouncy jungle - meditation.
