Mark J Klak war nicht nur der Gründer und musikalische Kopf des Joue Joue, sondern auch eine prägende Figur der Thüringer House-Szene. Als DJ, Veranstalter und später auch als Teil des Duos Boogie Pimps brachte er Glanz, Toleranz und internationale Sounds in das Erfurter Nachtleben.
Das Joue Joue galt als Vorreiterclub in Sachen Offenheit und hat das Nachtleben in Thüringen nachhaltig geprägt.

He was always there. On the right-hand side, right next to the escalator handrail. He slept there like a piece of furniture that no one would ever come to collect. I don't know what his name was. Maybe he didn't know himself anymore. Now he's gone. Only the smell remains. Piss, sweat, something in between. I hold my breath every time I go up. Like a minute's silence with lung arrest. I painted his absence. Not him, not his body. But what remains when no one asks where someone disappears to. Cologne Hansaring. Maybe he's dead. Maybe they swept him away. Maybe he was never there. But the smell... It doesn't lie.

Er war immer da. Auf der rechten Seite, direkt neben dem Griff der Rolltreppe. Er schlief dort wie ein Möbelstück, das keiner mehr abholt. Ich weiß nicht, wie er hieß. Vielleicht wusste er’s selbst nicht mehr. Jetzt ist er weg. Nur der Geruch ist geblieben. Pisse, Schweiß, irgendwas dazwischen. Ich halte jedes Mal den Atem an, wenn ich hochfahre. Wie eine Schweigeminute mit Lungenstillstand. Ich hab sein Fehlen gemalt. Nicht ihn, nicht seinen Körper. Sondern das, was übrig bleibt, wenn niemand fragt, wohin jemand verschwindet. Köln Hansaring. Vielleicht ist er tot. Vielleicht hat man ihn weggekehrt. Vielleicht war er nie da. Aber der Geruch... Der lügt nicht.

Based in Munich, I discovered my passion for techno at the iconic Pimpernel club. Inspired by the vibrant energy of the scene, I decided to start creating my own tracks. I draw inspiration from a wide range of sources including cultures, events, and emotions, weaving them into my music.

Klaus F. (he/him) is a Cologne-based music producer, performer and disc jockey. He translates Beat-Music, EBM and Industrial from the 80s into contemporary electronic music styles. Spontaneous live vocals and experiments are unmistakable at his gigs. Klaus has played alongside acts such as Robert Görl (DAF), Udo Wiessmann (HANDS), ORPHX, Blush Response and Skelesys, at venues such as Tresor.West in Dortmund. He is part of the duo ‘Deutsche Gabbaner’ and co-host of the event series ‘PRAES by About Repetition e.V.’, which takes place at Salon des Amateurs in Düsseldorf.
