Fun Facts:
This song was strictly for fun.
It attempts to express the sense of bonkerness experienced following a few hot knives.
Hot knives are a way to consume ganja.
They were rather popular among the Wud posse at the time.
George wanted to make the most horrible sounding riffs he could and came up with these.
White Noise was performed by Wud.

Fun Facts:
Write to You consists of classic riffs and esoteric chords on the guitar.
George found it difficult to deal with the loss of various friends who had moved away.
He decided to write to them, including his muse, to whom he sent a special package with tape as well as a letter.
George wanted the package to arrive on May 23rd, as he had discovered the 'rule of fives', and that might be a cosmic date for such a thing to plop through a letterbox.
This song was written a day or two before the mail-out.
It was not clear if the package ever reached its recipient, but it was not returned, so perhaps it did.

Fun Facts:
At One is song #100 in the list of Songs by George songs.
It is suitably epic.
Some if it was written in a tent during a rainstorm.
This rainstorm lasted three days and was non-stop.
Leaving the island on which George, Marc and Richard had camped was wet and hazardous.
This song is about an experience with LSD.
At One was performed live many times by Rough Terrain.
Andy would do a funny Scottish dance during the change to 6/8 in the long instrumental section.
This moment became an integral part of the Rough Terrain set.
Other time signatures are 5/8 and 13/8, which the Boss DR55 couldn't handle.

Silence is musically ambitious song about what happens after the dust settles.
This is a song about rebuilding and reestablishing oneself after a long awaited and messy breakup.
Its various sections convey different moods and energy levels.
Silence was a part of George's short-lived three-piece Masters of Drone set in early 1986.

Fun Facts:
This version of No Release is very much the full-length version.
There is a prolonged solo guitar section, where everyone else leaves the stage apart from the lead guitarist.
During this interlude, one of Bach's Two and Three Part Inventions makes an appearance.
A traditional Newfoundland folk song, She's Like the Swallow, also makes an appearance.
Once this solo period is complete, to represent a passing of time and a change of scenery, the song resumes.
We believe No Release was never performed by a band, although it may have been a Masters of Drone song briefly.

It was performed by Wud.
Ken came up with the last ten notes of melody on the acoustic at the very end.
Take It or Leave It became something of a campfire favourite for some of George's female friends.
It was written early in the morning, probably after returning home from a night of crazies.

Carne Tremula - From the long-winter Torino, two maestri of the Dark-Ambient lymbs teamed up for the very first time. 
Matteo Viani (Black Seed) and Andrea Marini (SabaSaba) gather their gears and influences to craft a narrative and figurative landscape through sounds and signals. 
These 8 tracks, as sounds experimentations, have been spontaneously recorded live, then enhanced by Tioma Tchoulanov (Nze Nze) mastering, create a navigation in some shallow waters, a Path of Paladin from the darkness to the light of brighter days. 

This comes as a tape, dubbed on recycled batches, wrapped in a very exclusive collage by Andrea Marini.

Epilogue is a post-breakup song.
It concerned a long-term relationship that had ended messily a few months earlier.
The protagonist still wanted to cause troubles months, even years, afterwards.
This was written around the time that Wud (the band) had ended and Laughing Sun was beginning.
For such a potentially heavy, hard rock song it features a surprise acoustic guitar.
It was never performed by a band.

This is a song of desire.
It was written for a lady whose actual name and nickname both began with the same letter.
Drowning in Your Eyes was a live favourite of The Ug Brothers.
They performed it live many times.

Fun Facts:
Turn with the Tide is something of an epic song in E minor.
There are different feels to its various sections.
The last verse was written after George witnessed a horrible violent incident near his home.
That verse was probably written after most of the rest of the song was finished.
Turn with the Tide was briefly attempted by The Masters of Drone.
Unfortunately the location of the one-beat at the start remained mysterious to the other musicians.

A few months later she moved to Brighton and formed a band called Pan.

We support all independent musicians who are doing something we find interesting. Our team members all have formal music education qualifications.

We are against corporate brainwash muzak, their puppet friends in the mass media, and many other corporate activities. We will fight their desecration of music until either it stops or we die. 

We believe in helping others in the face of corrupt laws and a broken system. We are pro democracy, green energy and free speech.

We're politically liberal. We cannot support the republicans, maga or gun violence in the usa. We don't see there's any real difference, other than in name, between the christian far right in the USA and the taliban in Afghanistan.

In the uk we are broadly pro LibDem/Green/Labour/SNP. We are VERY anti-tory, bnp, ukip, and any of their friends and associates. We have no trust at all in the uk right wing press monopoly and the bbc. Beware the bbc and its claims of neutrality. It is the propaganda mouthpiece of the tory party. It even charges a propaganda tax called the licence fee. But we like Test Match Special and Radio 6, so does that make us hypocrites...? Hmm.

We support independence for Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Cornwall. We support the individual and the underdog. We are anti-putin and his war, and pro-Ukraine.
