Hey everyone! Today I am playing my custom built Tele VI that I assembled using a Warmoth Baritone Conversion neck & a random Telecaster Thinline body I found on eBay! Always wanted a Bass VI , a Harley Benton Guitarbass or a Sub Zero Rogue VI but I didn’t want to simply buy one, so I decided to make one instead.

It is equipped with Fender Tex-Mex pickups, and I installed a treble bleed circuit along with DMT Dual Mode Bass & Treble Guitar Tone Control (see me utilize it at 2:40 for a bassier tone & 5:05 / 7:45 for more treble) and a V-Treb Variable Treble Bleed Circuit (See me utilize at at 2:15 to clean up my chording.)

I am playing through my Fender HotRod Deluxe, using my Mooer Hornet modelling amp as a preamp. 

Will probably add a Bigsby or a trem of some kind down the line.

BASS VI WITH TWANG! My Custom Telecaster Thinline With A Warmoth Baritone Conversion Neck.

I've been eyeballing this one on Reverb for months. That neon green was just calling to me. I got a slight scare when it briefly disappeared from their shop, but it appeared again about a month later and I had to have it.

This is the Jolana Iris, made in the 70s in Communist Czechoslovakia at the Jolana plant at Hradec Králové. This company made guitars that made their way to the UK before Fender could get into the market and the Futurama model was played by the likes of Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, among others.

This bass is a variant of the Fender Thinline guitar, and interestingly it features the Telecaster guitar shape, but in bass form. It has two rail-type pickups that feature either Alnico or Ferrite magnets. 

The previous owner painted it in this neon green color and I have dubbed this bass "Shrek", so join me as I play Sherk through a Peavey Combo 115 Amp.
