Jazz pianist par excellence, Cyrus Chestnut, returns to the HighNote catalog with a superb new piano quartet recording. This piece of melodic jazz/rock is in 7/4. The main tune is played on alto sax, followed by an improvised tenor sax solo.
Overall a tranquil piece of music using a combination of electronic and acoustic instruments.

Sunset

This piece of instrumental melodic Jazz/Rock, is in 5/4, and has a relaxed feel to it.
After a short introduction played on baritone sax, the soprano sax joins in with a counter melody. The main tune is played on tenor sax, followed by an improvized alto sax solo, before the original tune is repeated.
Overall a relaxed, almost ambient piece of melodic instrumental music, using a combination of acoustic and electronic instruments.
