Been working on this one for quite a while. It's a remix of Heartful Cry from Persona 3: The Answer!
I've been playing a lot on a TTRPG campaign I'm very into (been making plenty of original music for it too), and me and another player have been COOKING this narrative arc for something like a full year. Their character's betrayal, mine's struggle for understanding and ultimately a duel of clashing souls that brings their relationship to a brand new start, laying bare their true selves... good stuff. They WILL love each other so much.
We really wanted Heartful Cry as a BGM for their duel, but since they're both from Japanese-inspired countries we also wanted to use some kind of "traditional Japanese cover". I found none, so I made my own.
Since I was doing my own thing at that point, I've added a couple of twists! Both their character themes ("Crimson Revolution" and "Frozen Time Delusion", which I've composed myself) are present and it culminates in "Hoshi no Arika" from Trails in the Sky, which we also used recurringly in scenes where they started bonding before everything went down.
It was a blast to work on! Hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did making it.

Shortened from “Maheshwara”, to make it sound cooler.
Shiva is famous for his dance of destruction,

Will help put a stop to my cycle of rebirth.

From an early age, Babaji was extremely gifted;

Dangerous almost became a part of the set of The Subterraineans.
Dean had mastered the guitar part in preparation.
It was perhaps the trickiest guitar part he ever learned.
Unfortunately, the band ended and morphed into Rough Terrain before the song was ever performed.

I mostly use koala and spire on my phone with garage band on my computer as an occasional recorder for guitars, bass and synthesizers. Sometimes I’ll play around with SunVox and LSDJ. Now I have some Pocket Operators, and a KORG Monotron Delay to add to the mix.

An eclectic, post-industrial amalgamation of all of my favorite musical influences and genres. I enjoy making layers of textures, using found sounds from life. I'll often make a beat, just to completely destroy it again later in the song.

I will often use an ai created album cover art, but I make ALL my own music by hand.
