We live in a world where everything seems to be upside down. On average, we live longer but with a lower quality of life. With more rights than ever, but more oppressed than ever. With more free time, but less efficient use of it than ever. We are educated to multitask but also to not think too much. The gap between classes is rapidly growing, while companies have already dominated an apocalyptic world, which has a brief countdown for a million other reasons. And we wonder what just happened, how we've come to this, and how we can fix it. In the time we have a cigarette, a coffee or a foot massage. We take advantage of this little break to reflect on things that destroy us, and that we are overlooking just because we do not stop to think about the simplest things. Everybody is welcome to have a break with us, and to enjoy a little introspection time. Just relax, keep your guard down and listen.

We wrote the album based on an image/photo by Tim Grundtner, which show a young woman in a loft space, she appears to be floating or is she falling, maybe levitating, there are also what appears to be scenes of violence, with broken shards of glass visible. What went on here?

Former frontman, singer, guitarist with the punk/new wave pioneers Fàshiön music Toured in the early 80’s with The Police, Duran Duran, U2, The B52’s, The Cramps, Joy Division, The Fall and many other seminal acts.
In 1980, Luke, whose band Fàshiön music was hailed by John Peel as “one of the next big things” decided he’d had enough of chasing fame. He quit the music business and disappeared in order to concentrate on just being a musician.
Luke’s exploits with Fàshiön music from 1978-80 are chronicled in his novelized memoir Stairway To Nowhere (www.lulu.com)

Ricky Humphrey, founding member of the bands The Open Hand, RISE and Ishkah, also played bass for NinePartsDead and SLR. Ricky is also involved with various Music4Charity projects.
After years of dedication being a band composer and musician, Ricky decided to establish Bomb Proof Studios in Portsmouth, At Bomb Proof, as a multi-instrumentalist, Ricky has written, arranged, produced and played for many artists across many genres.
Ricky and Luke ‘collided’ a couple of years ago and gelled immediately, deciding to form
This Twisted Wreckage. Together they are a torrent of creativity and energy. They have a natural chemistry that produces music that is both realistic about the times but also optimistic; music that acts as a panacea for our terrible global situation.
This Twisted Wreckage is a pan-global team that spans SanFrancisco, Portsmouth and....Ross on Wye. As well as an ongoing prolific writing and recording output that would make your head spin, their back catalogue is staggering, and to date includes 4 albums worth of material as well as many singles.
Pete King is best known for Reggae and was manager and executive producer for global reggae superstars Steel Pulse. It was Pete who secured them their record deal with Island Records, executive produced their first three albums, including the now iconic “Handsworth Revolution”, and guided them to international success. He secured them the ultimate support slot on the Babylon by Bus tour with Bob Marley and the Wailers.
 
But Pete’s experience is wider than just reggae. He also worked for Black Sabbath’s original management and agency, as well as with American blues greats Lightning Slim, Eddie Guitar Burns, JB Hutto and the Hawks, among others. Pete worked with the Rock Against Racism organization in the punk era. He also co-founded one of England’s foremost 80’s recording facilities, Sinewave Studios, where he recorded Stephen Duffy and the Hawks, Dave Kusworth, Scarecrows, Fàshiön music, and many others. Pete also still occasionally DJ’s at events, including at Glastonbury .
Pete joins with This Twisted Wreckage as producer/collaborator. He brings a wealth of expertise. He is a code breaker, a pathfinder, a trail blazer, dedicated to bringing the breathtaking musical landscapes of This Twisted Wreckage to the world!
