Something about this song shakes my soul. This is emotional, but strong. Refined, but tribal. Raw, definitely raw.

I imagine the lone wayfarer coming to the end of his (or her) bitter journey. Having loved and lost, having sunk to the lowest of lows, the wayfarer returns to a simpler time--that hopeful place far and away from here. 

Brand new Australian singer-songwriter-producer Oliver Hugh Perry debuts his eponymous EP, D.D Dumbo EP, this November 12. I know Tropical Oceans was released a week and a half ago, but if this song is any indication of this guy's talent, I cannot wait for this EP. 

D.D Dumbo has a perfect blend of garage rock edge and indie folk sensibility. It's like Bon Iver and The Black Keys--my two favorite bands--had a baby over in Australia. 

I have a feeling I'm going to be seeing a lot more D.D Dumbo. Don't sleep on this one!

Friends since childhood, the boys from El Grande have brewed up a sound of blues rock with an attitude of getting it done. The two compadres, Jim (guitar/vox) & Joe (drums/vox), grew up around the corner from each other. Crafting their sound purely from garage tones, angry neighbours and home brewed beer. The duo have captured a unique blend of friendship and raw vibes. The boys released their debut EP ‘Get Done’ back in December 2014. Recorded in Jimmy’s shack.. Following the release of their debut EP ‘Get Done’ and two national tours, their second EP ‘Bobby Blue’ shows a sense of growth and progression forward within the duo, mastering their songwriting craft and fine tuning their garage tones.

“Understanding the order of time is important to anyone hoping to manifest a dream,” says Valerie June. “There is a time to push, and a time to gently tend the garden.”

Since the release of her 2013 breakout Pushin’ Against A Stone, June has been patiently at work in the garden of song, nurturing seedlings with love and care into the lush bloom that is her stunning new album, The Order Of Time. Some songs grew from seeds planted more than a decade ago, others blossomed overnight when she least expected them to, but every track bears the influence of time. See, time has been on June’s mind a lot lately. It’s the only constant in life, even though it’s constantly changing. It’s the healer of all wounds, the killer of all men.
