Seriál The Last of Us se konečně dostal do okamžiku, který je pro řadu diváků zlomem. Po první řadě, která nebyla z hlediska stěžejních postav nikterak kontroverzní, totiž přichází dramatický slon v porcelánu v podání msty vůči Joelovi. Tahle scenáristická volba však dává v rámci příběhu smysl. Bohužel jako jedna z mála věcí, protože jinak tvůrci zatím předvádí prapodivné volby, které jsou mnohdy za hranou pozvednutého obočí a spíše na straně čiré stupidity. 

V následujících 45 minutách probíráme druhou a třetí epizodu druhé řady The Last of Us do hloubky. Co tvůrci změnili oproti videohře? Co se změnilo k lepšímu a co děj spíše kazí? Within the critically acclaimed video game and HBO series The Last of Us, Gustavo Santaolalla’s “The Path (A New Beginning)” symbolizes hope, amidst a brutal world. Whether the song accompanies a hopeful glance across a ravaged landscape, or a moment of shared vulnerability — it’s a testament to Santaolalla’s masterful ability to evoke complex emotions with seemingly simple arrangements.

However, my personal preference from The Last of Us soundtracks are songs like: Unbroken, Longing, The Choice, and Allowed to be Happy. For my arrangement, I wanted to bring The Path down to a darker, more brooding tenor — more like the aforementioned songs.

The Last of Us: The Path (A New Beginning) | fingerstyle guitar

Typically I get together with my friend Jack Brewster near the end of the year to rank our top 10 TV shows, but 2025 has been an overwhelmingly great year so far. To try to get ahead we decided to get together early and discuss the highlights from what we’ve seen. We intentionally DID NOT RANK these (whew). We did our 8 favorites and then went over some honorable mentions and went in order of whenever each show’s first episode aired. I’m including the times below so you can skip around to shows you’ve seen. #97 TV Catch Up

Naše speciální vysílání o druhé řadě seriálu The Last of Us pokračuje. Tentokrát jsme se podívali na zoubek čtvrté a páté epizodě. V první zmíněné Ellie a Dina brouzdají během prvního dne Seattlem, zatímco paralelně poznáváme blíže situace mezi WLFs a Scars. V té druhé pak tvůrci retconují svůj dosavadní přístup k šíření nákazy vzduchem, když poprvé ukazují spory, které v první řadě veřejně odmítali do příběhu začlenit. 

Problémy seriálu však přetrvávají. Nekonzistentní přechody mezi perspektivami. Absentující Abby a její jednotka. Na sílu vložené akční pasáže, které začínají působit jako přes kopírák. Stupidita v logistice i chování postav. A nad tím vším Ellie, která se stále chová jako iracionální teenager, který jako by snad ani nežil v postapokalyptickém světě. Probrat je rozhodně co a to se v další části vrátí Pedro Pascal.
