Coulda been better, coulda been worse, but honestly this took me quite a bit of time to get the motivation to finish so here we are, a cover to The Lost Wordlines.
I disliked how low quality all the accessible versions were so I decided to take it upon myself to try and fix that by making my own.
I would credit the original creator of the song but not only can I not find the original but all existing covers of it don't say.

I just wanna begin this here description by wishing a very happy (late) birthday to my good friend Mr. E. I'm sorry I couldn't get this out on your actual birthday, but you gotta understand I had like no time lmao. Anyway, I figured since for my last birthday you made me a Murderer theme for my AU, it'd be fitting to do one for one of yours. Since you recently became co-owner of Swapfelldust, this works pretty well. Anyway, onto the sappy part. You've been one of my best friends in this community and I wouldn't be even nearly where I am today if it weren't for you, so thanks so much for that, and enjoy what I've made for you.

Ok just some general info now. This track is by no means necessarily official (EDIT: IT IS NOW BABYY) at the time of writing this (nor is the design on the thumbnail), I just did it for fun. The lead is kinda like a modified version of Dissension, but on paper it kinda sounded more like Androphonovania, but I didn't care so I kept it like that. Also I included We Are Number One because Swapfell Papyrus. I decided to name it The Frenzy because that felt a bit more frantic, which fits E's lore for this AU better imo.

So, here's some history.

When I first bought FL Studio, I found FL Keys and made what I called "the Dusttale instrument", and I tried to remix Red MEGALOVANIA. But I was TERRIBLE, so I couldn't figure it out, and thus, "ROGUE's Dusttale - Dust to the Wind (WIP)" was born. At the time, "Dust To The Wind" had no real meaning, I just thought of it on the spot, but now, the name holds two meanings to me. One being the poem read when a monster (Especially an important one) dies, and have their dust cast to the wind, instead of the family taking it. The second meaning is a representation of how far I've come in music. If you listen to WiP 1 now, it feels like a cheese grater being forced in your ears, but I kept working on DTTW and eventually made V1, far more faithful to WiP 1 than it is now, but it was far better than the original WiPs, and while I'm sure this version still isn't perfect, it is the song I'm most proud of.

Anyway, I'm gonna disappear for a while for some big projects, see ya later.
