Ok so I've been working on this for a few days and I couldn't wait to share what I have done so here's our cover of a classic by a legend. Without the vocals. For now but we are working on that.

I started cooking up the lyrics very slowly over the past year. It all started with the term "Wallflower" which I had just heard of and found the meaning; 

A person who has no one to dance with or who feels shy, awkward, or excluded at a party.

This term particularly resonated with me, not because I literally had no one to dance with (though Dave Gahan would be nice), but because I had just moved away from all of my friends to an old city I had very dark times with early on in my life, and what with homeschooling (though I love it) I did find myself (and still am) extremely secluded and isolated, which were the exact feelings that sprouted 'Wallflower' itself. It's suppose to resemble a lonely child showing clear signs of emotional drainage and the 'parents' (the subconscious, or your reflection) making you realize you're a teenage decay.

The intro was inspired by The Police's "Don't Stand So Close to Me", with the synth and ska-guitar, and the beginning vocals were actually inspired by the Tears for Fears B-side 'The Conflict': "When one of us is making, the other is taking
There's no end to end
When one of us is trying, the other is lying
There's no end to end"

which always got stuck in the back of my head.
